The KT90 tubed Jadis Orchestra was okay but a little too hard sounding in the upper mids and treble. Although I did not get around to trying myself it I think the Orchestra tubed with EL34s would be better tonal match.

Got mine a few months ago, but haven't posted here until now. These fabulous earspeakers are backed by my main rig (Rega P25 w/Grado Sonata; the (inexpensive yet good) Rolls phono pre; AR CD2; Rogue Magnum 99 and a pair of VTL MBL 125's with Nordost Red Dawn throughout).

The sound is amazing. I tried the K1K's with a DIA 100 and Norh 9, but prefer my current setup.

My next investment here will be a line conditioner from PS Audio, when funds permit.

In the meantime, I feel this lineup is within a few blocks of a "reference" neighborhood.

Congrats! And welcome to the club. It is a pain to get them amped right, but it will be worth the wait. At least you secured the phone which is 80% of the battle. If on a budget, I would highly recommend asking someone to DIY a Pass labs design or if your budget allows a 300b amp as Donald suggested.

It's OK they aren't R10 rare yet. There's still time. This hobby has been brutal on the wallet lately with the influx of new $1000+ headphones and IEMs.
