I never knew there were victors made in USA..thought all of them were made in Japan.. I know theres a cheaper version - HA dx1000, but I think they use the same driver..

No, you're confused. I am refering to the driver, which is sold in JVC USA Here. Not the Headphone.

The piece is J34367. It is the Left can's joint; not to be confused with the joint-cover piece.

I would love to learn how to obtain replacement parts, as the same piece broke on my DX1000s but on the right side, piece #10 from that diagram you posted a few pages back.

Am I to understand from this schematic that part #14 is only available as a whole headband assembly?
I require a simple cover for one side of the hinge on the end.
I dread to think how much the whole headband would cost or even if it were available.

if the dx1000 were just a 100 bucks cheaper i think i would buy. has anyone done a direct denon7000 - dx1000 comparison??
i wonder if the dx1000 has more powerful bass than my d 7000.
looks like i may have to do this comparison myself

"you can keep your hd800's, ill take some dx1000's."

They are the same. The HA is sold in europe while the HP is for Japan.

You can always get the DX700s and save that hundred or two, I would still take those over the dennons.

Skylab did a dx1000 vs d5000 comparison. It would most likely be worth your while to look that up. I haven't heard the D7000 but I can eq the dx1000 to sound near my k1000 with a little more low end bass impact. I've heard partial markl modded d5000 and it was pretty nice. Never heard a d7000 though.
