No, not yet. l thought of doing it, but the beautiful single ended plug puts me off. l'm sure l'll do it sooner or later :)

It's just that Audio-gd's balanced offerings only really give of their best when used in this way!

Anyone heard The New zmf atticus or eukon? Looking at The pictures those kind of resemble dx1000. Driver is sitting on a wooden "tube". I't does not extend all The way down such as on jvc's but still it's pretty intersting imo.

Love the reddish colour.
It's really the least of our problems, but I wonder how much colour variation there is.
My JVC isn't quite as brown/yellow as it came out in my photos since I cooked the images a little bit in photoshop, but they're definitely more brown than your reddish Victors @IYAshike.

So far I've only read about half the thread, but I have to agree with most of the positive comments.
The one thing that sticks out the most for me so far is the PRAT. It's got very satisfying agility, weight and decay in the right places.

Holding mine on my hands, l noticed that the more a source of light is directed to the caps, the reddish they become. However, when the light is diffused or indirect, the color becomes more on the brownish side.

Here, a couple more samples. Notice in the picture below how the color varies from left to right, depending on where the light is.

Nice... I'll try to take a daylight photo tomorrow for comparison.
I'll borrow your image to make sure the white balance is closely matched.. I think it will be an interesting comparison since I'm almost certain mine is more brown.

Makes sense, mine seems to have a very early serial number.

Also, what have others found to be good ear pad replacements?
I think I'd like to keep it as close to stock sound as possible, or does someone know where I can get original JVC replacements?
