The first few times I used the headphone, there was some shhh sound (like it was about to short) when I moved the cable near the plug or when I twisted the plug.  I used the headphones a bit more and that sound is gone now.  Is this normal?  I am thinking it might be some dust or rust on the connector that disappeared with usage?  Should I return it or ask for a replacement?  These cans are supposed to be built like tanks, no?

My two pairs (MDR-V6 & MDR-7506) does the same thing. No worries.

My v6's don't do that. You might want to get a replacement if it's bothering you.
