There have been a few people writing about them. I've never felt like I needed stuff like that though, my fit and isolation is just fine with the jh16

Ok, thanks. Mine are nicely fitted and very comfortable too. I guess I'll try out the soft wraps anyways since I received a pair with my 16s.
 
Any other thoughts?

I have to use the soft wraps to get decent bass. I have sent my JH16 for refitting, however bass still not there even after refitting. I have to press my JH16 with my fingers all the time to get bass. The comply soft wraps help a little ( I don't have to press with my fingers all the time)

That's a bummer klipschman70. I have pleanty of bass, sometimes to much perhaps. Maybe the wraps isn't a good idea for me then.
You should refit yours until you get it right.

Always wondered about those things, what were they like?  Can you describe how you're supposed to use them and how they actually worked?

You wrap them around the IEM like this:

My left ear canal isn't deep enough so the wrap didn't fit my left IEMs. Couldn't get it in properly with the wrap on. On the right one it was quite comfy, didn't percive any sonic changes.

have anyone heard of the freqphase? I just saw it on Head fi tv. I am wondering if they are only available on the new JH16/13 while the old 16/13 doesn't have it.

I think they mentioned on facebook that only orders placed on October 12th and later would have the new freqphase.

I can confirm this as I emailed JH Audio yesterday and freqphase cannot be retrofitted

Can someone recommend an amp for JH16s to go with my Yamamoto YDA-02 USB DAC?
 
The Yamamoto has a headphone out but even with the volume turned all the way down, I can hear music and it gets very loud very quickly. This is my office desk so portability is not an issue. It seems like the 16s are very demanding on source and maybe amp quality, my home setup (Audiophilleo 2, Neko DAC, Violectric V200) sounds really good but the office Yammy sounds so so. Thanks!

I doubt it, as I guess it would mean new drivers and reshelling the IEMs.
I wonder if anyone is planning to replace theirs with these new ones?
