Layla is definetely not for you, same with Angie.
 
The only other choice would be Rosie or JH13v2.

As far as I could tell the Angie II and Rosie are more similar sized to the old line. The new Layla and Roxanne II is bigger so keep that in mind.

I haven't tried the Layla or Angie, but they're definitely not as good for the genres you say you listen to.

The more time I have spent with the Rosie, the more I like!!! The soundstage is better than I thought, pretty damn wide.....Everything is very cohesive too, and excellent imaging

As soon as I took them out of the box I could tell they were smaller. I have extremely small ears and the old Angie's looked like Frankenstein bolts on me.

If they were making the shells by hand before they could probably only make them so small before it was to small to work with. Machining them probably let them cut out a lot of wasted space.
