ISN Audio making really good IEMs recently. H40 and D10 are great earphones and their sound performance above their price tag. I’m wondering how good is the new D02!

Let's not neglect the ISN Rambo II. My absolute favorite earbud. They did a fantastic job with this second iteration.

I joined the ISN H40 club today.

A couple of hours listening, no burn-in, sounds very very good!

By the way, has anyone complained of ear bleeding yet.......Wooooo....that BASS!!!

Had the isn h40 and they broke down pretty quick I wanted to buy the IE400 since Sennheiser has reputable build with the recent price drop to 200 is it worth it compared to the h40? Thanks

Senheisser iem build quality is horrendous. Where did you pull out that its reputable.
I dont own ie400 itself but they are cheap plasticky and with overpriced rubish cable that needs replacing every 3 months.

Also sound wise they will be different.
If they follow the ussual house sound. They will have significant subbas roll off and will be laid back sounding in treble.
Soundstage is fairly good but i find then very "unexciting".

There are plenty better options at 200

Just my 2 cents.

Ps: the feedback on build quality is based on 4 friends who had ie80s ie80 and ie500

Sorry to hear. You may want to keep a close eye on the ISN D02 and also the FiiO FH3. They‘re both new and intriguing. The FH3 is more widely available, so you can probably get it from somewhere with easy returns if it doesn’t work out for you. I’m not saying these are the equals of the H40 BTW.

I don’t think it is yet. I’m just assuming that it will be sold by the usual ISN dealers, namely Penon.

So I got word that the old H40 and the D10 both will get a new package makeover.

Now includeded are. More tips for one but a new case and what looks like a new updated cable. Not certain if these items will be in the D10 package.

Yep, I have them with my Simgot in the brown. @Dsnuts , any idea what the cable is and if the cost is changing. Wonder if it is in response to them reading about people modding the H40. Perhaps it is a brighter sounding cable?

I do believe it is a new upgraded cable and not just a rehash of the older ISN S8. I will have some more information soon.

I think since the D10 got the S4 which is actually an upgrade to the S8. Something had to change. I like the new style of connectors and terminations on the newer cables. Makes the cables more premium looking.

If this is an entirely new cable there is a good chance the new H40s might actually sound even better out of the box. Not as warm I predict with better detail. We will see.

I got a message yesterday that they have updated the package including a new cable. So yes new package should include new everything in that pic.

So I got word that the cable is a newer version of the S8. New connectors, Y split, chin slider and terminations. It looks much more premium vs the older version imo. Wouldnt be so fair for all the previous folks that got the H40 if the newer one got a new cable I suppose. In any case the H40 got a package facelift and now looks even better with the new look S8.
