I have that cable in mmcx at home. Will test it out for you. It should be a good match. A bit of gold plating is a good thing for the H50. Will report back later tonight.
Bad luck, not even an estimated delivery date? FedEx did have some big domestic issues last month which probably had a knock on affect. Let’s hope it’s not another Castaway lol.Damn H50 are stuck on france border on backlog for a week now... Fedex seems to be struggling to cope with extra pressure as usual.
Congrats on the hattrick of IEMs, that's quite the haul! Haven't personally heard the other 2 but they're well regarded as I'm sure you know.Ok, well... EST50 en route. Couldn't resist. Also ordered Oracle, and snagged a FS set of MEST MkII. It's been "a day". Ugh, what have I done....
Dsnuts, your pick on the ISN GS4 cable with Gold and Silver? It's expensive but not crazy expensive and it is a little bit cheaper for 11.11
Pairing it with my H50 that is supposed to arrive soon... Thanks
I use the GS4 with the H40. If the H50 has a similar sound sig it should be a good match. It adds more body and mid presence to the H40 than an SPC cable, seems to tame the glare on the treble just a tad and accentuates the vocals more. I like the synergy so much I ordered a 2-pin version of it to go with my EST50.Dsnuts, your pick on the ISN GS4 cable with Gold and Silver? And how much burn in time needs the H50?One word of advice on the EST50. Make sure you just let them play music for a week straight and forget about them. The bass dynamic and the ESTs need burn in. Your gonna wonder why folks love the EST50 when you hear those out of the box. Lol. EST50 most definitely requires burn in.
I can confirm the ISN GS4 is indeed a great match up with the H50. Go for it, you picked a great cable match up. Going back n forth several times with the stock ISN S8 vs the GS4. GS4 shown here is a 4 cored version of one of Penons best cables in the Penon GS849. Even though only 4 cores these clearly advances the dynamic overtones on the H50 tuning. Increases imaging, bass impact. Adds a touch of a fuller note weight and the gold plating here adds a slight touch of a richer tone. I noticed stage increases a bit with this cable as well. This cable has great synergy with the H50. More dynamic and expansive sounding using this cable.

I would say about a weeks worth of music is a good start. The H50 dont need as much burn in as much as the EST50s.And how much burn in time needs the H50?
GS4 is a great match up. Decided to give the Penon GS849 a go last night as well. Even better. Those are the 8 cored version. Thanks guys, time to spend some more $$
