Is this a good deal?

Bite the bullet on the D7000. Can`t wait to try it.
I have been using D2000 for more than 2 years and they are my favorite closed cans (so far):) I really hope that the D7000 will be a big step up....

In November, I spent an entire month searching for, what I thought was, a great price for a demo model -- $650. Congrats. The v.3 Jmoney pads arrived the other day. I'm still deciding whether I like them. The next toy... PSA D-link III arrives next week. I'm certain to suffer in the next life for all this greed.

Damn the D7000. DAMN THEM TO HELL. They've made me lose favor with my 990s...which I loooove. -__-

Now I'm gonna have to see if someone will trade them for the 32ohm version for gaming purposes, as I don't see anything near the price range coming remotely close to the D7000...

MLE... poor baby. I feel your pain.
My DT880/600's never get any head time anymore...

Seriously. I have to forcefully ignore the D7000 so I can take a day to just listen to the 990s, and remember why I love them in the first place. Still, I'm not a guy who finds use in owning so many different pairs of headphones unless they have specific uses...

I hope these D7000's are not going to ruin my Grado experience once I finally get them over the ocean.
Different enough soundsigs I guess....I hope

Sold my DT990s to someone, and went and bought the HD598 for $170... I needed an easy to drive open can for gaming, as I do NOT need a music or movie can anymore after owning the D7000.

I'm gonna miss my babies!

I feel like I've betrayed Beyer... I have owned and loved...

DT880/32
DT770 Pro 80
DT770/600
DT990/600

...and ended up selling/trading them all....

Such is the price we pay for wanting to try new things.

I'm sure the HD598 won't be better than the DT880/32 or 990/600, but it will fit my needs for gaming better, and I won't have to lug around the E9 from my desktop area just to amp the 990s when I play on my consoles (and the DT880/32 had a lack of rear depth positioning)...

I even ordered 2 day shipping...

I saw your updated sig in another thread and had to do a double take. It'll be hilarious if you turn into a Senn fanboi after all this.

I've got to stay away from these Denon discussions. They're starting to call out to me.

No way... but wait, I'm considering the Sennheiser PX200-II for a portable. DOH!

I just don't like what I hear about the typical warm/smooth Senn sound...

I may have sold my Beyers, but they are still my fave line...and then Audio-Technica...if they got rid of the stupid wing system.
