I'm looking to upgrade from my broken 10 euro cans and through my research i came upon the JVC HAS4X which is affordable to me.

What i'm specifically trying to find out is how it stands in terms of audio quality, if compared for example with the Sennheiser hd 228 or Sony mdr zx 300 or the Sennheiser hd 201. And is this the best sounding can i can get for its price (35 euros in my country)?
Thanks in advance.

Well, I have heard the over ear ones, and they did not sound the best. I'd recommend the Monoprice 8323. They have bass, but without sacrificing any mids. I also own a pair of XX Earbuds, and they are incredibly nice. The HAFX101 model. Incredible for the price.

Can't knock the ha-fx101, "xtreme xplosives" they actually sound a lot better than they should be allowed to. They have good bass and still deliver good sound quality, and for $15. They are a good IEM, can't always make blantant statements that anything with a stupid marketing name will automatically be crap.

I can almost guarantee you that the people who designed the IEM had no part in marketing which came up with the name, so don't disregard them for what they had no control over. After all it's a business they want to make money. It's easy for most people to recomend "Xtreme Xplosives" instead of ha-fx101 or some other absurd model number.
