Does it look like the closed-back Sundara does not have angled pads? Some quick photos of the unit, excuse any formatting issues given the phone posting:

How’s the sonic profile compared to the open Sundaras?I just had a listen at CanJam London this morning.... very impressive.
I would say on just on Par. Choice may be down to offering a very slightly better Bass performance but with no noise leakage as they're closed backs. How’s the sonic profile compared to the open Sundaras?
Thanks! I’m amazed if they’ve managed to keep the open Sundara’s profile almost intact after closing them. I’m more than interested!I would say on just on Par. Choice may be down to offering a very slightly better Bass performance but with no noise leakage as they're closed backs.
I, too, and very interested. I have Dumbo ears (and therefore love my Anandas!), and I am assuming that the ear pads for the closed Sundara would be the same as the open version, no? I know these are circular, does anyone know the diameter of the opening on the pad... the 'hole'?Thanks! Not really hard but a good amp will do them well (they’re rated at 20 ohms and 98db/mw). And they’re most likely not getting a carrying case.Just found out about these.I guess they will be hard to drive? Im waiting for the sennheiser momentum 4,and allready have denon ah d7200 closed back, hifiman edition xs and the edifier spirit s3 and some iems. But these made me interesting. But something tells me that i should go for the momentum 4,for an portable headphone with anc.But im sure these will sound awesome.Had the sundaras an short time, and they sounded really good.
Ps: will these come with an carrying case, for portable use?

It's quite good, a really stunning match with the iDSD Signature. Still typing up my thoughts but I'll include them in my CanJam London Show report soon!
I was able to give these a little run at CanJam London...
First impressions:
- a pleasantly open sound for a closed back.
-Not as much sound isolation as I expected but of course still some.
- A little bit forward in the presence/"essy" region, something that the open Sundara does not suffer from.
- Otherwise excellent tonal balance and timbre.
- Easier to drive than original sundara.
Dealers should have them mid to late August depending on supply chain.I am still looking for a closed back planar which I can mod mic for gaming. This looks like the one I need.
Europe sales when?
