I recently buy the ef400!

And from what I read in this thread it sound better from the balanced output.

Do you think there will be differences between xlr and 4.4?

I will use the Arya SE

From what it sounds like all 4 output has different output impedance. So I wouldn't be surprised if all 4 sound different.

I’ve just received my ef400 and i think it’s faulty
the low gain on os and nos led’s work but when turning to high gain os and nos the led lights don’t light up?
can anyone let me know if in high gain these led light should light up?

Yes, probably the leds are faulty..
Try if something change in term of sound at least...

The leds flash for a split second if i turn the dial very quickly to and from high gain nos and high gain os
the power does change so that works fine
i guess it must have a fault as your led’s work

The EF400 is a DAC.
You need a transport or PC which is roon compatible.

Ipad, iPhone, Mac, Android phones all no issues with streaming connected via USB C.
