You can pick up the Singxer SA1 on Apos.com right now for $509I've been eyeing the Singxer for a while now. How much of an improvement are we talking about? and does it improve the Imaging of the EF400?

I'm planning to get the HiBy RS2 or Mojo 2 soon so SA-1 will have to wait for now. The EF400 apart from some minor usability issues like low android volume (not an issue for me, only use it for Desktop purposes), occasional pops in the background (mostly in OS mode)… sounds pretty good to me so an Amp isn't priority 1 at the moment. Hopefully some day soon I'll get the SA-1.You can pick up the Singxer SA1 on Apos.com right now for $509

Has anyone hear tried the EF400 with the LCD-XC? If yes, how is the pairing?
Wondering if anyone has compared the EF400 as a DAC ONLY into a tube amp (and compared it to other likely suspect DACs)? Thanks.

Echoing @RayMets1 comment, wondering if anyone has experience pairing the EF400 with either the Focal Clear OGs or the LCD-X and which one has better synergy or offers a more "unique" experience compared to other headphone/amp pairing. Any tips and opinions will be greatly appreciated
For context, I'm thinking of purchasing the EF400 and will be trying out the Clears and LCD-X in a few days. My current collection consists of Hifiman Sundara and Edition XS, Sennheiser HD600.

I think they will get along well, the sound of the ef is very organic and musical, of course its perfect match would be the he6v2 since it gives it the necessary power

Only difference is that on EF400 you want to max windows volume to 100 and adjust volume from the knob on EF400.
That being said I've only tried cobalt and never tried EF400. So I'm looking forward to your impression lol.

Yeah as dsrk said you could use either one but I'm assuming it's more common for PC to have USB A port probably.Yes, you can USB B to A cable or you can use USB C to A or C to C if you PC has USB C port.

Did anyone tried to connect the EF400 line out to any OTL amp such as Little Dot MKII or any STAX energizers? How was your experience?

I tried the EF400 with the HD600 and Susvaras as well (the latter just for kicks and to see how the ef400 drives them). For context, I'm thinking of purchasing the EF400 and will be trying out the Clears and LCD-X in a few days. Using the ifi pro iCan sig as a brief comparison, I preferred the HD600 out of the EF400 .
The iCan pro Sig sounded more refined with better imaging and separation on a wider and deeper stage but I felt that it was slightly too lean and boring for my tatstes compared to the Hifiman dac/amp.
The latter pulled me into my music that I jived along to it whilst the iCan felt soulless to me that left me analysing my tunes instead .
Price not being a factor , I would still choose the EF400 Everytime even in a blind test .
I really wanted to like the iCan pro signature over the Hifiman and was ready to shell out almost 4 times more but I’m glad that I’m lucky where I am to be able to audition both in the same store with the HD600 I’m very familiar with . So fellas , I guess it’s always always better to try/hear before u buy and not blind buy .
Hi guys
I recently buy the ef400!
And from what I read in this thread it sound better from the balanced output.
Do you think there will be differences between xlr and 4.4?
I will use the Arya SE
