Introducing the Aurisonics Auris

Depends if they offer the same 5 year warranty and lifetime guarantee..
Dont forget bluetooth earphones are more prone to durability issues, e.g battery lifespan, charging port problems, bluetooth problems, etc.

True. If they don't offer more than a year or two of insurance then I probably won't buy them myself...

That said, I hope they release these soon! I called Aurisonics and they said that "they don't know" when it will be released - something along the lines that "we're announcing to the world we're gonna do this, but we're not sure when".

So ... are there any updates for the Aurisonics Auris?  Several earphone campaigns already ended on Kickstarter, and it's Christmas time.  Sounds like a good time for Aurisonics to unleash the Auris

Doubt they will do it until the Holidays are past. People already spent a ton on gifts, so they won't be as open to pledging. Not to mention that people at Aurisonics are probably taking a break this holiday.

I have also bought stuff from all 3 projects ... and I am almost depleted.  Luckily, I am still prepared for the Auris

However, if yet another major crowdfunding project is released in the next few months, and I find the products interesting ... then I am dead.

I gave up on EarWerkz to cut some cost after going full out on 1964 and Pulse. But i did order myself the Bax cable out of curiosity

Nope, didn't like the chassis design and was looking for a desktop solution which can also be used for home system. So went for the Pulse Xfi + THD :)

I hope Aurisonics realizes that they are not the only manufacturer in this market and others will try to come to it soon, too. An update on the progress of these would be nice. Just look at CES. At Kickstarter.

I hope Aurisonics doesn't fall behind, because I love my Rockets and would also love to have wireless versions.

I am none too worried. That last thing I want to do is rush the team at Aurisonics. If these are anywhere near the rockets sound sig, then they will be incredible. Don't know if anyone can claim the same for the competition.

Ymmv, but if these are meant primarily for on the go (where wireless is most convenient), they'd better boost the (deep) bass a bit.

I felt the Rockets lacked bass presence for a noisy environment, when I tried them on my commute.

Can't you simply use an EQ to adjust for that? Viper4Android works very well on Android phones for tweaking these things.

Personally, I like the bass on the Rockets.

Are you referring to mobile listening or stationary in a quiet room?

I like the Rockets' bass too for the latter, but assuming that the Auris are first and foremost designed for a mobile environment, I think they should be tuned with that in mind.

One could always use EQ then, to adjust for indoor listening. And btw, it's better to EQ down than up.
