Well the plugin should be performing optimally there. Your listening impressions have me stumped. Although, with the low dynamics settings you showed you should be able to get away with 0dB gain for some comparative listening at same volume without much or any clipping.

What do you mean by default? The settings should be different for each IEM and headphone, depending on your tastes.

The default settings should be 0 for each. It looks like you or A.N.Other has moved them. -6 gain seems unusual for any default settings. +.7 bass would really increase the bass in front of the mids. Play around and find the settings that you find enjoyable. The position of 0 on each is not centred so that makes it seem a little odd

I bought Hiby R6-3 brand new from a store.
I learned about DRX10K yesterday. When I opened it for the first time they were definitely not 0-s.
I played with the settings and wondered how they were from the "box".
Well, it seems to me they were the same as in the first post. Not quite sure, though.

Actually yes. 0 everything would be equivalent to bypass, but the plugin is not set to that by default. The picture you attached does show the default settings of the plugin.

It is hoped to be a good starting point, for those seeking to use the plugin to enhance dynamics.

-6 gain is applied because the plugin increases the range of signal levels occupied by the music, and I don't know that you won't run into the digital ceiling of the system. You can always just turn the volume knob up.

I like a good low bass with some punch. Depends on the earphones. With my Tansio Mirai X, and with the the earphones switches set to bass, I use gain 0, mids 0, bass +.7, treble 0....and the bass is seriously forward in the mix. I find the DRX10k the best app I have found on any DAP.

DRX10K changes the punchiness of the bass in the bass slider. If you want huge volumes of bass across the board you'd likely find a combination of regular EQ bass boost and DRX10K dynamic bass boost to be the optimal combination. Too much dynamic bass boost by itself via this plugin can sound unnatural.

I find the DRX10k the best app I have found on any DAP.

BTW, MSEB is not bad for me either.

yes, MSEB can also work as the "regular EQ bass boost".

On a HiBy R Android with latest firmware you have the choices of MSEB and parametric EQ for global regular EQ and the DRX10K for global dynamic EQ.

Hi Joe, I have Rs6 and R6pro(1st gen.).

When I tried to plug-in DRX10K with rs6 and r6pro, both prompted "loading failed" (加載失敗).
What's happening ?

The R6pro is even worse as it failed loading of other plug -in's such as sound field, etc.

Can you please help !

Is your operating system up to date? If so, a factory reset should sort you out but remember to take a backup and note any settings you changed first as it will wipe the device.
