Introducing Shanling M7 - Portable Hi-Fi Android Player

Hi all. I'm interested in shanling m7. But if we compare it with direct competitors, is shanling really that good compared to them? Namely: a&k kann alpha/kann max, ibasso dx300. What are the main differences in sound between these players? Which one is better for planar full-size headphones (not very complex)?

DX300 is a smooth sound.
The M7 has a crisp sound I chose the M7, which shines in the upper register.
I haven't listened to KANN yet.

Hello. are the 3.5mm and 4.4mm jack outputs only for headphones, or can one of them also be a pure line output with maximum output power? I am asking because of the connection with a desktop high-end violactric amplifier.

hi.
It has a lineout mode.
I understand. so then in the settings menu you can switch the pure line out output to the 3.5mm jack output, which then operates the dac output at maximum output? does this work on the 4.4mm output? 3.5 Jack - 2x rca cable that can be connected to a desktop amplifier, or would it also work with a 4.4 Jack - 2x xlr cable with symmetrical output?

You can use both the 3.5mm and 4.4mm in line-out mode for amplifier.

But please check this guide: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TSq8DHQspowX8nlBqBnCIkCO0klezrQD/view?usp=sharing

M7 has quite high voltage on its output, so you might need to play around with gain setting to get the correct voltage for your amplifier.

Let's post of your setups that you enjoy with the M7

I'll start. The CEMA Gyrfalcon just came in 2 days ago. Pairs tremendously well with the Tansio Mirai Akia and M7

Hello, is there a way to limit the % to which the battery charges on the M7? If not, could that be added as a feature? I would like to charge the battery to a maximum of 80% to preserve the battery longevity, as I would like to keep this awesome device for a long time.

No, it's not available and we are not planning to add it at this time.
