I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that ESS has discontinued the ES9068AS chips.
I don't expect to get a definitive answer but .... wondering if that had anything to do with development of the M6 Ultra.

This green colour... Where have i seen. Ohh. Dx240 ibasso. Looks like green is new trend. So dx240 they see as a competitive model.

Maybe but probably not. DX240 seems like old news already with DX320 out. Plus DX240 has the interchangeable amp modules so nothing with a static tuning is really going to be a direct competitor. Besides, Shanling is already touting a return to a sweeter, warmer tuning due to the AKM DAC's. The DX240 isn't that, no matter what amp module is used with it.

Just checking is - as of today (11/1/22) is Roon still broken? I have an M6 Ultra in for review and just want to make sure I'm not missing an update that gets Roon working.

Shanling rep said it's not really their store just a distinction they pay to have. The rep recommended Linsoul Audio & Musicteck & put me in contact with the Canadian distributor who set me up with Headphone Bar in Vancouver.

He was just one of the reps on this forum who responded to something I said. They don't seem to be around as much as they used to be. Unfortunately, my M6u had a defective 4.4mm output so I had to return it and I took a refund after the dealer gave me a lame excuse as to what caused the problem. I have since picked up an M7 from classifieds and am very happy with it.
