I am pretty sure Sony can’t do anything anymore, unless may be refunding a portion of your money. I will keep watch on your situation. Steve is very capable, I have seen him reviving devices with exploded batteries, burned opamps….horrible sheets many times. So, you are in good hands

Thanks. That gives me some confidence. I’m just waiting to see if I get any kind of refund. I can’t imagine Sony would want my player back, if they do give any kind of a refund, well they can’t do that can they ??

Well……I’ve gone & done it…..and thinking is this the next expensive mistake ??

My Shanling M30 arrived today. I knew I’d be stressed taking it a part, ( given my poor cognitive function…..& when under stress, too. ) I put a SD card, didn’t seem to go all the way in, should it ?? It was sticking out slightly. There’s only one way an SD card will go into a device, right ??

I put it back together, clicked local files to scan, nothing found. I think there is something on the SD card, but I didn’t check it, before. Have I got to take it apart again ?? Can I connect to my computer, to see if it shows a SD card ?? I’ve already read it’s going to need drivers downloaded for Windows.

The next thing I’ve tried is Wi Fi, put in my password, keep getting message saying, “Is the password correct” ? I’ve just tried Ethernet & have a choice of DHCP or Static IP ( & I’m hopeless with internet configuring connections, neither worked & I don’t know what I’m supposed to type in ??

I’ve got an external hard drive plugged in, not even sure if plugged into the right place, but I’ve tried every orifice, that will fit.

I need major help !

I’d been clicking firmware updates & it was saying no netwopark connection, but just clicked again now & got this started 3% has probably taken more than 10 minutes & I still have to do server 2 ! Let alone finish server 1 !

I don’t know what I’m doing ! There seems to be no manual online, to presently access from my iPad ? Am I ever going to hear any music, from it ??

I haven’t been able to go through the list of help from @DarkMaleMurican yet, but I must say this is an exceptional sounding device, it’s up there with the DMP-Z1 & even though I’ve only listened for about 6 hours, I think it could surpass the aforementioned ?? ( & the DMP-Z1, is something I’ve loved, more than anything, I’ve heard before. )

I can see the Shanling M30 being as addictive…..

Did you send email to MusicTeck? We have the amp in stock and they can order it. It's not something that our dealers would normally keep on hand.

Yes, we still support it, last firmware update for it was just a few weeks ago.

There was so far just one module released for M30, the high power amplifier.

If the MicroSD card clicked in place, it's all fine.

Otherwise, you can connect M30 to your computer for file transfer, using the USB-C connector. it will show up as normal Android device (but transferring files will be slow).
Drivers are only needed if you use M30 as USB DAC.

There are two USB-A ports on rear for connecting USB drivers, the left one being the main one.

Fixed what? The update speed? That always differ based on the Chinese servers and also where you are around the World.
