Introducing ONIX Mystic XP1 – High-End Portable DAC/AMP

I want to buy an Mystic XP1, but I need an answer to one question @Shanling
Since my amplifiers have mostly unbalanced (SE) inputs, and the XP1 has only balanced linear output (4.4 mm), a reasonable question arises: how to output a signal from the 4.4 mm port of the XP1 to an external amplifier with SE inputs? Just use a "4.4 mm - 2*RCA" cable? (will this cause the amplifier XP1 to fail?). Or is it necessary to purchase a special converter from a balanced to an unbalanced signal?

Please do not use such cables, as they are risk for both devices.

For use with an amplifier that has only single-ended inputs, we would recommend using the 6.35mm output on XP1.

Thanks for the recommendation.
Can you please tell me if I use the 6.35mm output, will it work as a pre-output for the amplifier (with MUSES Op Amps), or as a headphone output using the TPA 6120 operational amplifiers?

It will be using the headphone output.

Greetings everyone! ONIX Mystic XP1 is a versatile instrument for casual music listening at home. Stylish appearance and very interesting sound reminded me of Sony DMP-Z1. A practical solution with great sound for reasonable money.

Hello @Shanling!
I have a question about the DC power and battery. If I connect the DC cable to the device on the screen I see that the battery is charging. If I always connect the DC power to XP1, will it harm the battery because it will be charged all the time?

It's always charging, because the DC only powers amplifier, while the DAC and system is still powered from the battery.

If I plan to use the Mystic XP1 as a stationary DAC headphone amplifier, how can I operate it in the safest way for the battery?
Can I keep it connected to DC power all the time? Or is it bad for the battery?
What to do with USB power, keep it connected all the time or only turn it on when the battery is low?

For desktop use, in theory it would be best to disconnect the Power Adapter when not in use.
You do not need to use the USB power if you using the Power adapter.

As soon as I received the XP1, I connected only the DC power adapter to it and listened to music. After about 50 hours of listening in this mode (of course, I turned off the device itself between listening sessions, but I did not turn off the DC power at all), the Mystic turned off. I turned it on, but it turned off again (many times). Then I connected the power from USB and it started working correctly. I disconnected it from the DC power and charged it via USB. After fully charging, I connected it to DC again. So far, about 10 hours have passed and it plays normally. But, in general, is it a normal situation when the XP1 cannot charge from the DC power and turns off? I listened to regular dynamic headphones, did not use the M-power mode.
