If I used the headphones.com calculator correctly the NX needs 1.25W at 13 ohms to hit 125 dB and only .3981W at 13 ohms to hit 120 dBNope.
These are not easy to drive at all. Your KANN Max won’t even drive them properly. You’ll be perfect using them at home with your HA-3A though. That’s a phenomenal pairing.
The Noire is very close to the E3 with power and current requirements. Not quite as the Noire is a bit more efficient but close.

Noire X: Recommended minimum power @16 Ohms: 250 mW

Edit: I’ve decided to give the Noire X another chance and have just placed an order. I returned my original pair a few months ago and have tried other things like the Bokeh Closed, Focal Radiance, Aune SR7000, Liric II since then.
None of the above have had the impact and slam that I had with the Noire X along with the insane detail and non-fatiguing listening experience.
My biggest complaint with the Noire X solely stemmed from comfort. The ear cups would slide down my head every so often and cause me neck pain. I’ve since found a custom suspension strap for them that I’m hoping resolves this issue.
I will report back with my findings a second time around

I did! For the sound I remember, $800 is an absolute steal for these. My biggest gripe was the comfort of the self adjusting headband which I hope is resolved with the new suspension strap I purchased. Will report back later this week with my findings.Hope you bought them from Headphones dot com. They have them on sale this weekend for $800.
Hello,
Does anyone here have acoustic experience with the Meze 109 Pro? Could you provide a comparison between the 109 Pro and the Noire X? I am seriously considering ordering it and would like to know if it is considered a significant upgrade.
Apologies if this has been answered before, and thank you in advance!

I’ve been auditioning both. My impression is that the 109Pro is across the board better. But IMO it’s not a fair comparison as you are looking at Open v Closed. The 109 has a much better soundstage and placement of notes. The X is the best closed I’ve found for me that approaches the 109 with 1, comfort and 2, a close sound. (I’ve tried a bunch including Liric 2 and DCA E3). The E3 has more detail and a wider soundstage, but it’s twice the price and for me at least less comfortable. FWIW I’m buying both the 109 Pro and The X.

I found MrSpeakers himself recommends the Mojo 2 with these so I think I’ll have myself a nice audition anywayNope.

Perfect. My tastes and preferences are for my ears and genre palette so I have a hard time recommending. I don’t have any experience with the Noire X and Mojo so I can’t speak to that synergy anyway.I found MrSpeakers himself recommends the Mojo 2 with these so I think I’ll have myself a nice audition anyway
