@iFi audio any reason why settings don't save when powered off?

Specifically line-out volume control, it's annoying to have to set it off every time I power it on.

I don't have an answer for that right now, but I will ask and see what I can find out for you.

I have the same with my NEO Stream and was told a while ago that it had to do originally with it dealing with the Pre-amp functionality.

I will update here as soon as I can, and thanks for the question.

Is this still a thing with the new idsd 2? Thing is i wanted to keep the neo stream but it wouldnt hold keeping the mixer control to off so i lose bit-perfect after a song or two.

Does the 10mhz clock input work on all inputs also ldac? Because the new pro idsd sig is usb only. How does the clock behave on mqa playback as ive had cd transports with external clock that ended up not doing bit perfect on my mqa cds.

The 10mhz Clock input is applied to all Digital Signals.

Tracking said it’s supposed to arrive next week but it arrived today to my surprise just in time before New Year’s Eve. Played a few songs and loved what I heard. Had no idea XBass had such an impact. I’ll be playing with it more after the festivities. Happy New Year’s, everyone!

I do not have a direct answer regarding the iDSD2 other than what I previously posted about the gear. I have been told they are set to default a certain way because of these unit's Volume control same as the NEO Stream, whereas if a loud volume state were to be initiated from power down having a quick way to decrease it (as a pre-amp) would was the reasoning for the initial power-on state to be default setting.

I was also told that 100% volume in Software is equivalent to "None or Fixed" out results in the same effect. In units past it was preferable for folks to have a none volume setting as to be bit-perfect. But here end result is the same

I know that it has also been requested for this unit and for NEO Stream to have the default retain "last" settings, and is being talked about.

Hope that helps, if folks would like to drop us a line through support about the desire for this "state" to be changed please do so as quite honestly the more requests for this, the higher up the "feature" request list it will go.
