If you're looking for the absolute best sonic performance and synergy for Jewel + Orpheus, then 7AE is where its at IMHO
Yeah, so I've been told...

I know you and Tokpak are thick mid lovers though so if I do manage to pick one up it'll be stock cable for a bit.

I was starting to get the impression jewel likes plenty of juice so not overly surprised at you guys impressions...

Having a quick listen now with the stock cable. The thinner mids are noticeable but it still sounds fantastic. The treble sounds a touch airier too. Quite nice honestly 😯

Yeah, I've found it better than everyone who's had Jewel suggested tbh. Obviously quite a bit different from Orph but I do like the treble on it. If i could have more air on treble, tone the lower mid down whilst still having stage / detail / bass, I'd be a happy man. FT next I reckon but I'll wait and see what they sound like on AE before making that call.

Ergo wise stock is pretty good imo...

Lol yeah using the stock cable has reminded me how heavy Orphy is 😅

Yup. Pretty happy I've jumped down the ciem route in that regard, they don't move about at all but I do find myself having to lift up the ear hooks for a second after a couple of hours due to weight on my lugs...

Just re-posting from the Watercooler - an awesome tool for organizing your music library. Especially useful for those of us with L&P DAPs.

Just wanted to share something really cool I found. I am super crazy OCD about my music collection, (as some of you may also be) and I've spent the better part of 3 years organizing it. Every album needs to be labeled, the highest res artwork I can find added, and then uploaded to my Dropbox server. Countless nights were spent in front of my computer using programs like Kid3 and Yate to make sure everything was perfect - only to load the albums into my DAP and the artwork didn't show up, or worse it was split into several albums making me twitch and groan with unorganized woe. My new LP6 Ti AE is even worse, (all L&P DAPs are bad with this) and some albums simply won't cooperate, even when I check them three times, new artwork, and nope. Makes me totally crazy.

A friend in a Whatsapp audio nerd group told me about Bliss. It's some guy's ultra nerd project for people like me who care WAY too much about their music collection. (And maybe some of the people here on Headfi might also fall into this category???? :) ) So I tried it. Leaving the files on my full 1TB SD card I let it scan, and in 12 minutes every single album had been fixed, album art perfected, split albums combined and even on my LP6 it was perfect. Even the obscure remasters and vinyl rips were done correctly. I was quite stunned. There is some serious programing mastery going on here, while you can add all kinds of custom rules and processes you want it to do for renaming and organizing, I just let the default do its work and boom done. I am really quite thorough and it still found 100s of errors and mislabeled stuff. The catch? You get 100 "fixes" for free. That means every time it fixes something it counts down, and for those with large collections you will need to pay. You can pay per "fix" but I just got the unlimited. Cost me $75 for lifetime use. The way I see it, small price to pay for a spotlessly organized collection. I'm willing to bet others with massive SD cards and TBs of local files will care too.

Just wanted to share, in case others feel as emotional about their collections as I do :)

I originally bought the LP6TI since I could not get my hands on a 7AE after waiting for a long time. Then someone put an almost new one up after 1 month of me purchasing the LP6TI and I had to satisfy my curiosity. No doubt go for the 7AE first if you can get it. It feels more power, I was told by the chap they tweaked the OpAmp not sure if true or not but the sheer power of it is mind blowing when pushing the HD800s. Also the luxury Echizen lacquer wood finish is a historical Japanese art form which is not available on the LP6TI model. You won't regret it.

Someone Know if Obravo ra 21 compete with IEMs like Jewel, U12T, annhilator, Odin
I have heard the Jewel, Odin and Obravo ra 21. They all offer something unique to the table. The Odin I ruled out since I had the Black Erlkonig. I felt it was in their area, detailed imaging and technically brilliant. I found the Odin too sharp and bright for me personally. The Jewel makes one feel as though they are the singer standing right on the stage with the orchestra. You can hear all the instruments around you 360. It's good at handling the volume with low distortion even when blasted to a high volume.
There are a lot of people who likes this but personally for me I prefer to be off the stage sitting in front of the music as the audience. I like the spatial feel and to be slightly away from the music. The Obravo ra 21 CU I really like and I think it only works with the LP6. The sound paired with the LP is right up my alley but the price is beyond what I want to pay for an open back IEM. The newer 21 version's quality is really up there though and I cannot knock it. Just I cannot afford it or prefer to buy an Over the ear headphone. Because with the Obravo it's open back so to listen to it in the streets is really money down the drain. You need to be in a quiet place to listen to it.
Anyway, currently running in my LP6 Platinum. Loving it at the moment.

I don't own anything from Luxury & Precision at the moment but I had the excellent W2- would love to try one of their high end DAPs.

The Ra 21 C-Cu is certainly special and has excellent synergy with both the N8ii and my desktop system. It has a tremendous soundstage and a thunderous but well controlled bass.

Price did feel ridiculous but with Chinese IEM makers aiming ever higher (no need to quote any names), buying an Obravo no longer feels like a misplaced leap of faith.

Hmm, I thought Ra 21 C Cu used the same DD and AMT drivers as original, just slightly finetuned? And honestly, I found nothing thunderous about Ra C Cu bass. Very accurate lean neutral bass. I do need to use foam eartips and tape the front vent to get just a little bit of sub-bass extension, as I described in my Ra C Cu review 4 years ago. Ra C Cu does need a good chunk of power (higher voltage) to scale them up, so with N8ii you need P+ to boost output voltage to drive Ra C Cu better. The bass is super accurate, layered, and articulate, but these IEMs are dominated by pinna gain of forward mids and super-clarity of mid-treble.

Correct- totally agree with your description. Still in Bali before I get back to London tomorrow so didn't realise what actually came out ie thunderous but well controlled bass lol

A bit of an oxymoron right there.

Yes, definitely a P+ affair on the N8ii. Unlike the previous iteration, however, the Ra 21 C-Cu can be driven by pretty much anything.

It does scale like crazy though.
