I already have a problem with the Aten two weeks after the purchase.
A cable connector, on the L side, moves a lot and sometimes I lose the signal. I tried to reverse the connectors but I have the same problem. I therefore believe that this is a problem inside the left earpiece.
I only mounted them when they arrived and then, suddenly, I lost music on the left side.
I wrote to the IMR seller and I hope it solves the problem. I also hope this is an isolated case, so I would like to ask you if someone has had a similar problem.

Meanwhile, Bob already answered and informed me that they will send me a replacement. Congratulations indeed to the rapid and effective assistance.
Back on the problem, I tried to reverse the cable connectors but the problem remains always and only on the left side.
I made a short video. As soon as I load it on Youtube I post the link.

I once had the earpiece detach from the cable without having tugged on it, just like that, but that was with the R1 so with very different cables. The socket on the R2 is much more secure so there is a good chance the replacement will fix your problem. Also there have been no widespread reports of mechanical failures in this thread.

I had the same problem with the Aten L earpiece at the third weak of usage. Contacted Bob and he advised me to open the faulty earpiece and to check connection. I opened and found that connection are ok , therefore some of the drivers is malfunctioning as only very weak sound was coming out. I sent my findings with a photo to Bob and he immediately sent me replacements. Greate service IMR!
Congratulations, nice review.
I agree almost on everything.
You were right to say that perhaps ... too many choices of filters create more confusion than advantages.

MBob sat me the whole left earpiece, obviously without the filters.
Thanks to Bob for the fast and correct assistance.
Following this I took the opportunity that was proposed to me to order the RAH.

Thank you, and yes, I think by offering too many choices (some of which seriously detract from the SQ and capabilities of the driver), it not only confuses but also takes away from the overall experience. Then again I've always found too many choices a distraction in my ultimate goal, which is to connect and enjoy my music in the best way possible. Constantly thinking about which filter and which nozzle to use with which album is the antithesis of this. Of course my point here is that even though Bob gives you all these options doesn't mean you're obliged to use them. I asked bob what his favourite combination was, and it was probably no coincidence that it was my preferred combination as well. I mean, he did make and tune this thing. The Aten is currently my daily driver, FWIW.
