Hi, Just wondering about this because I was talking with someone about getting the AIAIAI TMA-1 Headphones, and I told him I could get them shipped to Canada for $163 after shipping from Dijital Fix. They said that it was an amazing price for them, so I'm just checking if it's a scam or just that, a good price. DjTechTools also has them for $159 plus shipping/tax

So, has anyone bought anything from DijitalFix in the past? Is this a just good price? Or should I stick with the seemingly mush better DJTechTools?

Just double checking before I spring on this....

It all depends on how much risk you are willing to take.

Since they are in NYC, it's somewhat of a concern.  There is a long history of scammers that are little more than shady camera/watch shops operating out of NYC, and doing the same with their online presences.

The threads above on Reseller Ratings details a long history of one user's complaint with such a shop, and he resulted in going to the NY state AG's office to file a complaint.  The state AG was preparing a class action lawsuit against such shops.

One thing you can do is investigate and see whether this site has any complaints against it from either the BBB or more importantly, the state AG's office.

Well this is making me uneasy.. Has anyone bought from them online? They seem okay.. This is just making me nervous, it's either this or DJtechtools.com for 8 dollars more.

Which is best..? Has anyone got any experience with dijitalfix?

I'm the owner of Dijital Fix, and we have two locations in NYC, as well as a pop-up store in Union Square right now.  We're anything but shady, but I understand your concern.  This was a black Friday deal only and will be raised back to normal price tomorrow.  We've been in business for 4 years and have carried AIAIAI long before the TMAs were available, back in 2007.

If you have any questions, you can reach me at david (at) dijitalfix.com.

We can take phone orders for the TMAs at that price after Monday, but we can't advertise them any longer at this price.

Cool.  Just for the record, if anyone here has ordered from Dijital Fix please leave a comment saying so, and letting everyone know how it went.  We're definitely legitimate and don't want threads lying around the internets questioning that .

Thanks,
David

I've never heard of them.  From the looks of their pictures of their "stores", it looks like they are little boutiques run out of what appear to be New York apartment spaces.

Not true, but we have a different aesthetic for sure

hello. its so timely that i have just pulled the trigger on buying the tma-1 from digitalfix when i found this thread! BRSxIgnition, im exactly on the same boat as you, im from Canada and paid exactly $162.85 USD for the tma-1's to be shipped to my house. i was really surprised to see this price since moogaudio has it for $279 CAD, thats such a big difference (and dont forget HST!!) its very reassuring to know that the owner of digitalfix personally have replied to this thread.i will closely follow this thread and update you guys on how my shopping experience went on from ordering to delivering.

again, thanks for starting this thread, BRSxIgnition.

That's good to know.  I wasn't implying you were "shady" per se (and I'm sorry if that's how it appeared), but given the bad history of some NYC shops, it has indeed cast a pall on the legitimate ones.  The fact that you took the time to respond to concerns does add to your legitimacy.   Most scammers wouldn't take the time to respond  :)

The NY Times articles are even better.  I don't recall any of the scammers having had articles written about them in such a gigantic (reputation-wise) newspaper.
