Ok so I need to fact correct my comment for the P50 Linear PSU being better than the IFI supplied iPower brick. The fact is that Topping P50 is rated at 1milivolt and iPower is rated a 1microvolt noise and so the iPower is cleaner...also in my subjective opinion the iPower sounds better as well. Hope this saves people unnecessary spending on LPSUs...

Below are the links to the files I made for Power supplies that can be used on the Zen Stream, all are 12v power supplies. Sorry this took me a bit longer than expected. Each file is separate and I make no judgements about which is best, That's for you to decide.

Each was recorded straight from the Zen Stream directly into my studio board using USB. Each was recorded at 16/44.1 and is around 18mbs in size. The 3 files are, A generic 12v PS, The iFi 12v that came included, and finally my Linear PS, and was done for curiosity and a few requests. Hope this site is ok, I tested it and the files came back clean, no virus or anything hokey.

The Tracks are from Marcus Miller, the album Silver Rain, Hope this is helpful to someone interested. Each Clip has not been edited or processed in anyway.

I Think overall of the three, the iFi is the best, however I really like what I perceive to be a boost in the overall dynamic/punch of the linear PSU. I think that comes across in the clips, but that's just me. In all fairness and honesty I have been running the ZS on the iFi and have no great internal need to switch it to the linear, and also I would have to buy another one because all of my linears have a specific use, lol

today i tried playback to the Ifi Zen Steam from my iPhone only using your App. rather than useing the macbook pro. this was proved successful for about half the album. than it paused and i got a message “playback was paused because you are playing on the web” really? i had the MacBook shut down. the message said “tap anywhere to resume playback” i did and it did not start to play. showed that the Ifi stream icon still displayed on the iPhone. oh well. please help me with this. you guys are way smarter than i am. thanks.

Probably a long shot, but you don't suppose someone else is using your account? Maybe change your password.

OK, I must have misunderstood what you were doing. I thought you have been using Tidal for while now based on your posts?

to clarify, i have been trying to get the ZS to work for the last month using the Tidal app. i switched internet providers yesterday and got a new password and account. that what i meant. yes i have been using Tidal for 3 months and trying to get the ZS to work for the past month. i am on my second unit and i am still plagued with the same issues. maybe a bad production run. i have not heard from IFI in couple weeks about this. last word they suggested i exchange the unit. i guess 3 is the charm?

Have you tried streaming one of the radio stations as suggested several times here? What is the result?

OK. I meant to change your Tidal password just to make sure no one else is using it on another device, causing the music to pause on your device (“playback was paused because you are playing on the web”). Tidal only allows one stream at a time. Believe me, these thing happen, even with strong, secure passwords.

@rudy49 I did not say Tidal, using iFi.local with the Zen Stream in #1 AIO position stream a music station from the iFI menu.
