The bottom USB is for USB Audio, and anything that accepts a USB audio "in" signal should be acceptable for a connection.

The Top USB is for Hard Drives, SSDs', or USB Drives only. I honestly have no idea on any power stats for it, but the general consensus here is SSDs' and thumb drive type USB work with no issue, and larger Hard drives (like Seagate, western digital) should be powered on their own to function properly.

I currently use a Samsung SSD, I have a T5, and also a T7, both 500 GB, and have no issues powering them.

Again I do not know how much current is provided, but I do know it's enough to drive any thumb drive or the SSDs that I mentioned. I can't open the link you provided.

I currently use beta 2.32.5
I can work Airplay and Spotify Connect with my iPhone14.
But I can not work OK Airplay by my Apple TV 4K. I don’t know why it fail with this 2.32.5.
Because Apple TV 4K work OK with past old beta version( no Airplay 2 version)

Except this issue, it all work OK with NAA from my PC/NB.

I find something occur no audio issue by Apple TV.
If I use Apple Music when turn on Apple TV, the Airplay can work with iFi ZS. If I go to see TV+ or Disney+ video, then the video no keep play （get stuck).
After stop Airplay feature return to my TV speaker, then the video keep going and normal sound. Then I do Airplay iFi again, then occur no audio problem again.

I think iFi Airplay2 some function no meet to Apple TV video/audio synchronize.

You might need to go into the Device menu in Roon to make sure you are outputting the signal from the ZS thru the appropriate output into the Hiby. Since the Roon Ready update it is done a bit differently, here is a video to give you a quick walkthrough...

A quirky issue for the group - I recently updated my ZS to the .2 beta (before the .5 beta was released a few days later). All is well as I run to the ZS via Ethernet but the Wifi section (SSIDs list, etc.) of settings will not display and enabling / re-enabling the global wifi on/off throws an error. Chain over Ethernet works fine but due to corporate network restrictions I can only do updates by connecting ZS to my phone hot spot over Wifi so I cannot upgrade to .5. Want to avoid factory reset if possible so any troubleshooting ideas?

You may wanna think about just staying put where you are at for right now...

Sorry, I've never seen anything like this before.

Is it perhaps like a Bluetooth paring request of some sort? If it is and you haven't set any codes perhaps try "0000". If not I would reboot everything in your chain and try again!

Thanks, have you run into the files and procedure to revive a what seems like a bricked Zen?
It powers up and powers down, but no big led lights are on.
Tried several hard resets with a pin, both leds turn red for about a minute, then both turn off and that's it.
This whole "Airplay is asking for a code, "0000" didn't work, factory reset, the unit not coming online, several hard resets with a pin" is after an update to 2.32.5 by the way.

I submitted a ticket to iFi.
I don't mind beta versions of firmware being glitchy and/or screwing up some of my settings, as long as I can factory reset, but bricking the unit this easily is a bit too much.
I didn't pull any power cable from the Zen Stream...

Yes, that's right. This has been discussed here more than once. I've experienced it since the Zen Stream became Roon Ready and could never find a way around the problem. It doesn't happen with USB out, just SPIDF. I'm not sure other users have found a way to fix it.

Got the response from iFi support, downloaded and flashed the original frimware over the USB-C port without issues.
All included under 10 min probably.
Then updated it to the latest stable OTA 2.31.7.
