Can you explain what is legendary or provide some links to relevant info?

I was quote from what I would term the "fAd Copy" or what I think was the manufacturer's press release.
I do not think there is anything at all "legendary" about it. It's like naming an ink pen "Excalibur". I think if you click on my name in the quote you quoted me on it will take you to said press release!

Many years ago I use to write some ad copy for my wife as she was in advertising. It can be an art but it usually ain't even close. In truth, I think your new iFi Zen Phono 3 is very nice looking and I may well purchase one down the line. I have no doubt it will do the job nicely and it will look cool doing so!

Not related to the topic, but hats off to the diplomacy of iFi's rep.

I don't want to get rid of my current DAC amp combo. I wonder whether it would be a smart idea to line out the Zen DAC to the THX amp of my current combo. Can't wait to head to local hifi store to test this combination out.

My understanding....

"The ZEN DAC 3 continues its legendary status by doubling its high-resolution support up to 768kHz, DSD512, and MQA decoding capabilities."

The blue part is new for DAC 3. The green part is copied from DAC V2

For the DAC V2, the following is appliable:

"The ZEN DAC v2 continues its legendary status by supporting MQA decoding capabilities." as v1 only doing rendering.

To me... my attempt would be:

"The ZEN DAC 3 continues its legendary status by doubling its high-resolution support up to 768kHz, DSD512, and continuing to support MQA decoding capabilities."

It is indeed legendary as it continues to support MQA since v1 given MQA's status in the market.

Well, I just got the back order email from Audio Advisor

So I guess it’s maybe not quite available yet, and not just in the EU.

I received mine today - that was quick. I’ve plugged it into my Mac and listened on both my AKG 550s and Focal Stellias. I expect it will need some more time to break in, but initially it sounds much better than my Uno. The bass is tighter, the soundstage better and the sound is more detailed. I’ve tried the added bass as well - not convinced about that yet. The bass is good with it off on both set of cans. So a good start so far. Build wise it feels very solid and reminds me of my Signature. It’s very solid. One complaint - it includes a USB A to USB C cable. I haven’t had a device with USB A in years. USB C to USB C would be far more useful.

Looks like they are still PC centric. You can easily find a USB A (or cannot get rid of it easily) on PC but there is pretty much no way to get USB A on Mac natively.

Are you using your computer to power it? I was told it would be much better if you get it a good PSU. Not sure if type C would make a difference here.
