Hi @iFi audio. I am planning to buy the Zen can signature. I have some questions:
1. How much better is the balanced output compared to the single-ended output on the Zen dac singature in term of sound quality? I guess 10-20%, please correct me if I am wrong.
2. If I use my Audeze LCD-2's 6.3mm cable, is it better to connect the Zen dac with the Zen can via single-ended (RCA) cables? I think the circuit on the Zen can has not to convert the signal (ba to se) thus better outcome sound?

1. I'd say it's about 10-20% better if you'd like to put a percentage to it! It varies from headphones to headphones.
2. You can use either the balanced or the RCA connection, it's a separate set of circuitry so if you used balanced or RCA on the back it does not affect balanced or SE on the front (if that makes sense)!

It would depend on a person asked, however many people would agree that the ZEN range used as balanced devices sounds noticeably better.

It wouldn't hurt to try both and use whatever you think is best

Thanks for your replies. I know the best option is the balanced connections from inputs to outputs but the prices for 4.4mm to 4.4mm and 4.4mm to mini-XLR cables are quite high. Especially in my country.
Wow, it is nice to hear the se and ba outputs on the Zen can signature sounding equally good regardless the inputs (Power specs aside)

yes, this is the bundle that I bought and, in fact, they were inside the first time.
Now, despite is cleary wrote also on the package, I found two iPower 2 inside the second package that I received back.

Apologies about that. I will double-check, but AFAIK the first batch of the Signature package included iPower X. The bundle you got after the return most likely was manufactured later, hence iPower 2 instead of iPower X. We'll fix that at our site ASAP just to not confuse anyone.

I noticed on Amazon and some dealer sites that the prices on iFi products seem to have recently increased by $50 per product-ZEN CAN SIGNATURE has gone from $249.95 to $299.95 for example. OUCH!

Correct, something we tried to hold off as long as we could, unfortunately. And unfortunately, we can't clarify publicly as to why.

I completely understand not talking. However, I strongly stand by my opinion that not commenting at all is an entirely different thing than a patently false statement.

It is more important for us to be there for the community and interact with them rather than leave anyone hanging on a response.

Again, there were no patently false statements made.

Please respect the fact that we do not, and will not ever talk about products before launch, as will no other company in our industry.
