New Pro iDSD review up live on headfonia.com

Cross reading that. Stumbled over this: "The Pro iDSD is a functioning Roon endpoint". Did i miss something and magically a firmware update came out that includes a Roon end point?
My Roon players recognize the Pro iDSD only via Airplay. So i believe this is misrepresented.
I do agree with the author that Muzo is pretty much useless for playing files on USB storage connected directly to the Pro iDSD. I have tried and given up .. pity.

And anyway: offering hardware usable (partly) only with software of nonproprietory origin (either cheap or expensive) – strange... What kind of politics would be there inside ifi's, how could they come out to decide: best hardware but cripple software to use?

I really like my iDSDpro (at last burnt in obviously) and am satisfied with its sound all around, using USB via laptop and Fidelizer to better its performance by keeping Windows silent but indeed rather would like to use the direct link to the device for even better sound quality...

And why isn't it possible to switch off bluetooth when using ethernet if it declines sound quality? Or did I miss an alternation? There ist a new version of iDSDpro on market which I own one of those - maybe...

Another point: Some IEMs are such sensitive that you can't turn volume far from 9 o'clock thus pending the stage to the right cause of the imbalance of the implemented ALPS poti.Also my power amp is too sensitive to get rid of 9 o'clock volume turn whether iCANpro nor iDSDpro. I should modify the RCA cable to change the impedance or so.

Some more to add but forgotten at the moment.

Now I need to look for a good XLR cable to connect my iSDSpro with the iCANpro properly cause there wasn't any in the box :-/

No he mentions Airplay for Roon, but it could have been worded clearer. He also uses a Chromecast Audio device (optical output).

Muzo is useless for everything.

When you've used Roon, using Muzo is like going back 10 years.

I have the same problem of tubes, with the GE 5670, I have 5 pairs of GE 5670, none are accepted by the ifi pro ican, yet they are exactly the same, the ifi pro goes into security and becomes red, there are only the original tubes that work, and I think the same, that the automatic bias no longer works,

Thanks, thats why i give up with tube rolling.
This IFI non-damage system (red) is too restricted to do tube rolling.
If only we can bypass it...
Maybe only NOS tube works but that will be bad joke...

hello, with the French importer, we are there on the site help, I have several times explained that I made the tests with 5 sets of tubes GE 5670, to reverse a new tube with a tube of origin, abort right, after left, and still the amp does not work, the light goes red and flashes a few days ago, I redid the same tests with tubes you sent me, there are only the tubes delivered with the ifi pro that work, everything has been done and explained, and on the answer of the ticket, you always ask me the same thing, I do not understand ifi pro, when there is a problem on one of your device, you do not want to take any more the problems, this failure I detected a few months after the purchase, I wanted to have a GE 5670 tube game, the first game did not work, I thought the tubes were defective, and subsequently I bought others and always the same, and the last tubes it's you who had provided them, so either the ifi pro ican has a problem, or all GE 5670 tubes are bad,

that means that problems are starting to appear on ifi pro, i think if other owners of ifi pro or iDSD have the same problems, they should react, thank you

I think if i have 5 units of Pro ICan on at least one unit my WE396A will work.
It's too random, some units are more tolerant to swap tubes than other...
I think IFI don't test any other tubes, it meant to be working only with NOS GE5670.
That's bad becouse i own cheaper (half price of Pro ICan) tube amp and i could swamp tubes almost without any restrictions.
