PowerStation indicates an earth fault if earth and neutral are not bonded together (which they are in all major electrical systems). Symmetric power will always indicate polarity and earth fault, as earth is not bonded to neutral, and as there is no determining polarity with respect to earth.
Thanks for the reply, I can't use the Powerstation with a symmetrical supply, as it will trip. No problem, will move on.

My Experiences With The iFi Power Station

So there's TONS of info in the history of this thread, so I won't bore you with regurgitation of "same-old".

Do I think it's worth it? - Yes. Particularly if you have noisy wall or wifi devices on the circuit or nearby.

Do I know it works? - Yes. We have an old off-branded wireless phone that my wife had in her flat that came with her in the move/consolidation of our things. (It's RED, her sole qualifier for an electronic device before we met.) It's so bad, that I regularly use it and an old blender to simulate radio and line noise respectively in the testing of all electronic/power devices I investigate. NO NEGATIVE EFFECT on audio when played from my sensitive tablet or laptop when used in close proximity of the powerstrip (2-3foot area from iFi strip tested) when both were turned on. Squeals, hums, pops, & clicks can be heard just above the noise floor with the volume up otherwise.

Is the Ground & Polarity diagnostic "real"? - Yes. In my server room, the power is pristine behind power conditioners and battery backups with diagnostics. However, when I hooked up the Power Station out on our patio, I was able to find that a mains socket that I had ear-marked for eventual upgrade failed the ground test (Which I already suspected had a fault) and when I slipped-on a ground-bypass adapter without the wider prong and plugged it in backward, the iFi's polarity LED immediately turned RED.

Do I report "vast improvements in sound quality" when I added the iFi Power Station to my audio chain?- No. As I mentioned earlier the power in my server room (Where my audio stack also happens to be.) is already quite good. However, the power strip offers passive noise cancellation of ambient noise from external devices like Wifi routers, cell phones, CB radio, etc.. that share the space from interfering with the sound that my components and headphone cables conduct. To me, that's a definite advantage.

Hey, thanks a lot for this feedback. I'm glad that you liked our PowerStation and yes, its diagnostic LEDs work indeed :)

As for PowerStation's performance, results vary from mild improvements here and there to substantial quality spikes, it depends on how much pollution there is. The noisier an environment, the more audible input PowerStation will provide.

A product affordable but active (just as many expensive power conditioners!) was our goal, we're extremely pleased how it turned out, and once again much appreciated for your own impressions :)

So i have thinking along time maybe to get an ifi power station or similar powercleaner just to connect the router and switch to it, now i use cheap generic powerstrip there. All other music gear in the chain is connected to the audioquest niagara 1000 its full and in the other side of the room.

Has anyone tried this and heard improvement?

I dont know if its worth it.

In recent time we got feedback from our customers that addressing power supply for routers and network switches is beneficial. So if you can, by all means please try either PowerStation, or iPower with your DC-powered devices.

Thanks!

How much of a difference did it make for you?
It was the first power treatment to clean the sound without adding harshness or brightness.
The first to make such an impact at the low frequencies.
Whole band clarity and and pitch black background in all my gear.
Best part that it is not restricting system dynamics.
Now I am planning (when funds allow) to add a second one so I have one dedicated to analog and the other to digital gear.
I have tried and reviewed various stuff from dedicated transformers from Torus to Keces and various passive power distributors , dc blockers and so on.
Everything was a mixed experience.
iFi power station has earned a firm and permanent place in my system.

Awesome to hear.

Please do post up impressions when you get the second one, and would love to see you do a full review if you have the time!
