I don't see a reason why it shouldn't if you type in here (https://ifi-audio.com/support/download-hub/) the correct serial number of your device. Hope this helps, thanks!

NEO iDSD Performance Edition is the same NEO iDSD plus two other accessories in the package, so the same firmware applies to PE and non-PE versions.

The external screen is acrylic and that's what protects the display underneath

I have iFi NEO iDSD original version. Reading all the pages I was in doubt if I can update with the latest FW.
A user indicates not to update.
I use a macOS system, has anyone updated for it?

I had to upgrade mine, it came with the extras for the performance edition, but still needed the update. Mine updated just fine. Good luck and enjoy!

I decided not to update for now. The device is working perfectly and most of my files are DSD.
I use a 2018 MAC mini with Audirvana Origin.
What really made it better was buying the iFi Audio iPower Elite.

I took out the iFi Neo to test another DAC and really looking at the acrylic viewfinder there is a protective plastic.
I took it out and it improves the quality of the viewfinder.Here
I leave the display off to avoid any problems.
I've already used the iFi Neo again, the quality is excellent.

Short story hope to healp some:
I use optibox and i have rds router with fiber optics for 5 months i use a old router and i change the lps for rds router and use direct this one. When i change i start to have dropped signal and with some songs i have 3-4 times drop in signal. Now i add a router between rds ( provider default router) and ifi neo/ and ifi zen stream. Now i dont have any problems testet 24h continuous and not a single dropped stream. Best to try this if you having problems that can not be explained
