How many BB chips is inside? @iFi audio

Honestly looks extremely similar to previous Neo, Diablo, ... internals.

I guess it's mostly better XMOS/BT chips

Im a little annoyed they just dont make a “desktop” version of diablo. All those gimmicks I dont want them.

Everyone talks about one chip, but I think there are two. Both in the old version and in this new one.

The problem is that you don't have a view of the bottom of the board.

See that in the iFi Neo Stream there is another chip at the bottom of the board.

Everyone talks about one chip, but I think there are two. Both in the old version and in this new one.

The problem is that you don't have a view of the bottom of the board.

See that in the iFi Neo Stream there is another chip at the bottom of the board.

That chip that looks like burr brown is the controller chip for the clocks

Aside from the amplifier options and bluetooth, is the DAC chip set the same on the new idsd 2 vs the one on the original? I have the original one, mostly use it as a DAC but would consider trying the new one if it is worth the upgrade in that department.
