Do you guys know how the Signature drives headphones like LCD-3 and similar?
In the past I tired the original micro BL with some of MrSpeakers planars, that was acceptable at a certain level.

How it drives in comparison with the original BL (if any difference exists).
People say that the performance of the Signature is better overall.

I compared both here in the thread.
Output performance is almost the same. I use an Arya with the Signature and the Signature drives the Arya sooo easily same as the BL do.
Volume knob is at 10 o’clock on turbo mode and it is already really laught.
Both have 4W output power. That’s a huge amount of power and is enough for 99% of the headphones out there.
But how they sound is not the same. But this is personal preference.

Any idea on how much power (continuous) would be @40 ohm?

I have an LCD-3. I used to have the original Black Label and I now have the signature. For some reason, I wasn’t a fan of the black label and sold it within one month of use with the LCD-3. On the other hand, I’m keeping the Signature as my only amp/dac.
It has no problems with drive. I like it! I’m not sure if it sounds any different.

The silence between tracks is punctuated with a really disarming buzz or "electrostatic" sound before the track starts. I have now stopped playing .dsf files until I am able to manually select tracks while I am listening.

Wondering if anyone else who have experienced this?

@iFi audio not too sure if this has been experienced yet on your end, but it's a minor flaw. I love my sig.

Have the same issue, every time there is a format change it pops and it ends being very annoying. @iFi audio any ideas?

Thank you, I really enjoyed my Black Label and that is why I am so eager to acquire a signature or a neo that complements other Ifi products that I have (i purifier, audio cables, etc.), I will be eager to read you. Thanks a lot!

Our products' performance scales with price increase. NEO iDSD and micro iDSD Signature are similar in this regard so you should expect similar quality level.

Not only this, all our DACs lean towards richness and a touch of warmth more than detailing and lighter profile in general. That's our "house" sound, which you should hear with NEO iDSD and micro iDSD Signature. The difference between them thus narrows down to different usage scenarios and functionalities. The iDSD has more powerful headphone amp and is a transportable do-it-all type of a product, whereas NEO iDSD is a streamlined desktop device with wireless input and fully balanced circuit. Hopefully this clarifies their differences

Yes, thank you very much for your clarification, once the differences are known and expected a similar sound, today I am going to order my IDSD signature and I hope to enjoy it as much as I did with my black label. My Focal Clears and my Aryas are looking forward to their signature connection

It does not have balanced output.... if he has no idea about this as an owner then he is really should not be doing a review. At least know what you own. It is not just guess work.
