I saw people saying their old black labels had little to no channel deviation, but both my finale units have had pretty severe imbalance at low volume.

For much of the black label run extra QA/QC was focused on dealing with this. The process was cancelled before I left in '19 BC.

So early silver units and late black units are a lottery (as are others on the same platform, Signature and Diablo), but the Bulk of the production run's should be Pukka.

I did infact not win the lottery XD
And i will not be playing it a third time kek

I'm curious about the valkyrie and neoidsd2 pot is on a separate pcb connected by a ribbon cable, do you have any insight as to why its like that or if that effects sound in any way?

This is not a pot. This is a rotary encoder.

These units use a digitally controlled stepped attenuator, probably a private label NJW1159, one of the best sounding options sensible money buys. I introduced these in the xDSD and xCAN in 2017, so it's a tech iFi had available for many years. Even cost is about neutral, a properly selected pot probably costs more than a NJW1159.
