You should reach out to ifi customer service to see if they can do anything for you.A cautionary tale… tldr: Go Blu dying after about 1.5 years and potentially turning into a fire/explosion hazard.
Bought my Go Blu in January 2022 and used it almost daily. It has never been dropped or been exposed to extreme weather. For the last months I noticed battery life getting worse and the device not charging to full capacity.
Now I know why: Apparently the battery is expanding. It has even pushed the case apart. Internet research tells me I’m not alone with this problem… and since there’s only a one year warranty, I guess I’m f’ed.
Severly disappointed… I have tons of @iFi audio gear and I’m fully aware that a product with a fixed battery won’t last forever. But at that price point I would have honestly expected more. Guess I’ll have to throw this thing out before it burns down the house…
I will. I don’t have much hope though seeing that I’m out of warranty. You should reach out to ifi customer service to see if they can do anything for you.

Made a short video about using the iFi Go Blue with the PS5, a match made in heaven in my opinion. I've tried Mojo 2, Shanling H5, Qudelix 5k, even a DAP, nothing else works with the PS5 apart from the Go Blu (wired) !!

I bought my Go Blu a couple of weeks after it was released, I use it daily and usually until the battery runs out, I sometimes use it while its charging and I don't do anything to try and keep the battery in good condition, I get about the same runtime as when it was new, no issues at all. I mostly use IEMs and get about 12 hours runtime using LDAC. I have several portable DAC/amps though not the q5k, I find the Go Blu the most engaging by far. I didn't buy a q5k as I don't use EQ and don't want to spend time tinkering with a phone app, the q5k is obviously a great choice if you think you'll use EQ.Kinda torn between getting the go blu or the qudelix.. just concerned about seeing numerous reports of the battery on the ifi going pear shaped (literally).. I’m uk based so it’s not like it will be used in an overly hot environment. Any thoughts/opinions on the two of them?

Yeah think I’m erring on the side of the q5k.. you’d have thought companies regardless of their location would be a bit more safety conscious after the chaos Samsung caused when their phone batteries went pop.As I described earlier in this thread, I used my GoBlu almost daily but with very good care until the battery started to push open the housing. At this point I was already wondering for many weeks as of why my battery was getting worse and worse and wouldn't charge to capacity anymore.
iFi has replaced the battery but it's just now getting sent back to me - after two months!
In the meantime, I got myself a Qudelix 5k... and tbh, I don't see the GoBlu getting that much use in the future... maybe if I need the 4.4 mm jack... but that's about it. (And I hope it won't turn into a fire hazard again.)
