Dear Head-fiers,

I'm currently looking for a portable Amp/DAC for my headphones:
  • Dan Clark Audio Aeon 2 Noire
    • Impedance: 13 Ohms
    • Sound pressure level (SPL): 92 dB
  • Sennheiser HD660s
    • Impedance:150 Ohms
    • Sound pressure level (SPL): 104 dB
Both headphones will be run mainly balanced through a 4.4mm pentaconn jack.
So I'm just wondering if iFi GO BLU could be a good match in particular for DCA Aeon 2 Noire.
Will I have enough power/level for both headphones ?

Should I check to iFi Hip-Dac instead or to any other portable solution ?

Thanks to you all for your help.
Even my Shanling M8 struggles a bit with my Noire’s (granted, SE). Unless you’re fine with a “soft” listen I imagine this may be a weird pairing.

How does this compare SQ wise to the iFi i1 for use with the iPhone 13 and a good pair of IEM (£500 range)?

It doesn't. nano iONE is a DAC, while GO blu is a DAC/amp combo.

Can it drive HD800 to sufficient dB?

Our hip-dac that outputs 6.3V@600Ω can drive Senns HD 800 to 119dB, which is deafening SPL, so GO blu (5.6V@600Ω) won't be too far off

And most importantly, how does it compare to the Qudelix 5K?

I have no clue, but I think that we should see such comparisons in the following days.

I tried the Switch to GO blu, it's SBC only, and there is noticable latency. Using Skull n Co dongle connected to GO blu with aptX LL has less latency.

Anyway, tried driving my Aeon Flow Closed 1 using the GO blu, it can drive it loud enough, I just need around 80% of volume. There's still some headroom there...

Can you try the GO blu as a USB DAC into the Switch?

Tried it, doesn't work... well, iFi will need to add UAC1 mode for it to work with Switch.
