Follow this link, and it will take you through to the download. You can only update the firmware via android at the minute. The download includes a text document with instructions if I remember correctly.

GAIA app is terrible. On Galaxy note 20U is completely unresponsive. Do I have to delete all of my BT devices so it works faster? I reduced connected list to 14 devices and app is still so slow that it doesn't react to selection. Scanned devices list empty. It finds nothing, so I pair Blu again and keep tapping selection but no reaction. Note20U one of the fastest Android devices! Any alternative?

you need to give Gaia app permission to location of all times (not only when using)

... and, GO blu must be in pairing mode.

Correct, and you must remove the Go Blu from your phone's pairing. You must pair it with the Gaia app while the Go Blu is unpaired.

Thanks a lot! It worked. I like the ergonomics of the device and battery life on LDAC was very good. Used it the whole day, not continuously playing, but it sure beats Qudelix, that drains battery in standby rather quickly.
I attached a metal clip salvaged from an old phone holster, and it's very comfy to wear on the shirt/t-shirt collar.

Too soon to comment on sound quality. Hiss doesn't bother me that much. I use it on the go where isolation of my IEM is more important. Currently I have Moondrop S8 connected and even though it's all BA, its sensitivity is below average and hiss is not noticeable. Connection is not as long range as UP4, Qudelix or BTR5 but acceptable. No interruptions on the go. Subjectively, sound is comparable between the 3. I'll do more listening over the weekend with other IEMs.
Shout out to Bloom Audio - is great as always.

I've had my Go Blu for a few days now. It's my first piece of iFi gear. Gotta say that it is a hardware marvel: good sound, very long battery life, absolutely minuscule, and overall solid performance. Kudos to iFi!!:thumbsup:It's just missing a clothing clip.

However, the software/firmware side does not live up to the excellent engineering of the hardware. Most of the major competitors offer phone apps to customize, but (AFAIK) there are no plans to offer any app. That's a real shame. Even worse, the firmware upgrade is ill-conceived, at best. This device is commonly used with four different OS's (Windows, Android, macOS, and iOS), but you can only upgrade with one of those (Android). That's downright shameful!!!:tired_face:

I know they've pledged to address this at some indeterminate time in the future. But if I had a dollar for every time a company promised platform support that never materialized, I'd have enough to afford the limited edition zircon-encrusted Frank Zappa Go Blu model.

I've seriously thought about returning this; I may still send it back. The hardware really delivers!!! So I ask myself, would I want to keep this knowing that I may never be able to upgrade or customize it?? I'm leaning toward keeping it so far.
