I have been complaining that I can’t hear the XBass and Xspace, for a while now. I just acquired a Gucraftsman USB-C OTG cable. The the Xbass and Xspace can be heard clearly with this well crafted cable. The Go Bar is an incredible device for it’s size and it sounds more detailed than Dac/Amps costing w 2 to 3 times the price.

I have been listening on Roon remote , and browsing 3 hours now and my 2019 iPad Pro is at 70%. Temp of Go Bar 32-33C appx 90-92F Degrees-My closed palm is a degree warmer.
Just awesome

Might this Gucraftsman USB-C cable be the one on this page?

Yes- it is! I have followed the feedback on Gucraftsman and read "GU's" story.
It's a superb DAC/Amp OTG cable IMHO. I've auditioned several brands & device cables. I am waiting for the lightning to USB-C which has a longer lead time but prefer listening on the iPad anyway. Let me know what you think.

FYI- I'm listening with Utopia balanced 4.4 cables and using IEMatch, though it lowers the gain - still more than enough for most genres.

hello, I have some doubts with the volume on the mac, I have tried it in two possible ways, one with the volume control of the go bar itself and the other synchronized with the mac and the problem is the volume scale is not the myself, am I doing something wrong

What Mac and cofiguration are you using. How are you connecting? I have both Intel and M1 Macs.
Give me your configuration and 24 hours and I will try to replicate.

Did you update the firmware on the Go Bar.
I use a desktop Dac with my MacBooks but have used Macs to upgrade the firmware.

And how sensitive- what kind of headphones or iems?

Is it an Intel MacBook or Apple M1? What Mac OS# are you running? What music player are you using- Tidal? QoBuz? Does the Mac recognize you Go Bar. Search for the app Audio Midi Setup in the Utilities folder of your Applications? That’s what I need to know.

One last thing- are you plugging directly into the Mac or are you plugging into a hub that’s it

it also does it when the volume of the mac is at 0, that is, when the volume is at its maximum and at zero without the activation of the volume control of the mac, controlled by the ifi, when you disconnect the ifi and reconnect it it does not remember the last volume and this one is higher than the last time, I imagine that with a future firmware update they will fix it

It seems to be going well now, the problem was when I disconnected the device with volume and when I plugged it back in it had more volume, now it saves the memory
Glad to hear though I was looking forward to the challenge of figuring it out!😊

I saw a comment about a usb-c to usb-c cable (GUCraftsman OTG Cable) that works with the go bar.

I am looking for a good quality third party ligthing to usb-c cable because the included one kees breaking and I am already on my second replacement.

Some others I have tried and that do not work with the go bar
- ddhifi MFi06 lights don’t go on.
- OEOTG Digital Calbe, lights go on but when play is started the lights go off.

Before I order another cable I'm hoping that someone can confirm a cable that works with the go bar.

Otherwise I am pretty happy with the go bar, the sound it provides is a nice upgrade.
