If your primary headphone broke today, would you buy another?

This is actually why I mostly use the HD-600 and DT48 these days. If one of them goes, no problem. But if the K-501, K-1000 or HP-2 die, then that's a problem. I save those for times when I can listen seriously to keep the hours low.

If my SR-225 die, I'll probably move up the Grado ladder and grab the RS-2 or RS-1.

I voted no because;

1. I'm very new and still have lots of phones to try
2. Even if I had heard lots more, I would want to listen to another pair out of curiosity, and if I don't like them, buy another pair I haven't tried. When I've grown tired of buying phones which aren't better than my favorite, and I find myself longing to hear them again, then I'll buy them again

I would not buy DT150s again because of the comfort issue, though the sound is truly awesome. I almost bought DT770s again to replace tho ones I sold, but was rescued by an offer by the guy who bought them to trade for the 150s.

That would be my Denon D7000s, and my answer to the question is "yes, without hesitation".

As a matter of fact I have kicked around the idea of buying a second pair to have around "just in case". One thing is for certain, if Denon ever hinted that they were going to discontinue the D7000s for some odd reason, I would most certainly buy an extra pair (maybe even two pairs).

I have a feeling it will be a very long time before another pair of phones dethrone the D7000s as my top phones, so I need to be prepared for the foreseeable future.

I voted yes, but I so don't want to have to hunt down another mint condition K501 for cheap.

Hmm, good question. If my goldies died, I'd use that excuse to try the new 325is. Or maybe splurge on a pair of RS1s... either way I'd get Grados.

Since my favorite phones are JVC HA RX700s, yeah, I'd spend another $35 to replace them if they broke. Probably ought to get a spare set at that price.
