Well, that's what Lucid Audio gets for moving production to Vietnam. The perceived value goes down. ER4 had more "weight" when you knew it was made in the USA. I don't really get what Adorama is doing with these sales though.
Are any of your using the new Etymotic bluetooth cable, the Etymotion? I was considering giving it a try but thought I'd look for some feedback from the forum first.
These guys are in China but they will build you anything you want. I wanted a 50cm balanced cable with a 2.5 right angle plug and they made a very nice one. Sounds GREAT. Buy their stock cable on ebay and then immediately message them and tell them what you want and they will custom design it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-2m-4ft-S...var=424688395138&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
Nice to see this MMCX cable fits the ER3. I've got 2-3 MMCX cables that came with and fit other earphones, but they won't stay connected to my ER4XR. They snap on, but pop right back off in a second or 2. Looking for a MMCX cable with volume and song control.

I used this cable for er3se and er4sr both. both have exactly the same tab fit added to the connector. They worked equally well with the connectors. I tested both back and forth for several weeks and ultimately kept the er3se.
Got mine from Adorama and they sound super good to me and came with an official card from Etymotic - I doubt they are knockoffs but if they were they are damn good ones
Would you upload the full sheet with all the parameters? It would be helpful to see all the parameters so there is complete context so we know the comparison in full.
EDIT: yours is cut off on the left... also I noticed mine has 2019 date on bottom and yours says 2016, older version or not exact model perhaps?
EDIT 2: Etymotic has a "sell sheet" on the ER4XR I found directly from their web site which lists sensitivity of 104 dB but is dated (just like your sheet) in 2016, whereas Amazon's presumably official listing from Etymotic for the ER4XR lists a sensitivity of 98 dB, which is closer to the 97.5 dB I see on my sheet dated 2019:

Yes, I noticed that on the Amazon listing -- however, look closely at the card I uploaded that came with my unit and it says "sensitivity: The output in dB SPL at 1 KHz with 200 mV drive" under "Test Parameters" and yet it shows 97.5 dB sensitivity for left and 97.6 dB sensitivity for right, so that is either wrong or it's 100 mV drive in contradiction to what it says on the same little card. .

Has anyone bought the Ety balanced cable for their ER4XR? My dap(Cowon P2) has a 2.5 balanced output and am curious if the balanced cable makes any difference in sound?
