Shure is not dying because their coming out with horrible products, it's because people who can't "appreciate" their sound signature are voting that they should die. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it deserves to die. If you vote for horrible build quality or something like that, then that's fine, but saying like "Poor E2C SQ" and then voting for them to die, then i think that Skullcandy, V-Moda and stuff like that should die isntantly right now and shouldn't live in this game.

I think there are a lot of people who just think Shures are overrated. Maybe it's also a bit of a backlash in response to their popularity. I tried the SCL4's and I thought they were OK but not quite as good as the Klipsch X5's. A lot of people have also said that the lower Shure models are not very good; similar sounding earphones can be gotten for a much lower price.

I would say that the se530 is the most popular IEM here atm, just there are more posters that don't use it any more.

Shure are capable of making great products, but I'm wary of their marketing mix.. They'll give you decent sound and packaging, but then the cable suxors. Their next gen may have improved cables, but knowing Shure, they'll taketh away in some other area that I value.
