well let's see, my HE-560 arrive Thursday.
but it will probably be another 2-3 weeks until the pre-orders of micro iDSD start shipping out to USA customers?
 
rest assured, will report some early listening sessions ASAP.
comparison will be to:  Concero HD + Vali
and
CEntrance HiFi-M8  (unless it sells before micro iDSD arrives.)
and nano iDSD (if cables allow).

Yeah!! I saw your post in the HE-560 thread and after reading numerous impressions, something tells me there will be a very good pairing with iDSD micro. If so, I might have found my endgame transportable rig

Nahh! The portable part of "transportable" is very useful for me as I stay somewhere else over the weekdays for greater proximity to my school. Plus, the iDSD is going to be my brick

  I placed my order with Avatar last week and I was among the "Octa-Adapters". I hope you can still be one of the first 512 world-wide to enjoy this status.
 
They are asking for the entire amount up front, and they offered me free shipping if I liked them on Facebook. (I didn't, as some of us dinosaurs still don't do Facebook.....) The shipping ended up costing me like $8 and change to Michigan.

The fun part for me will be comparing notes with folks who start receiving and using their Micro iDSD's.  
 
My iDSD Nano blows away almost everything that I've ever heard of any size and at any price, so expectations for a unit costing over 2-½ times as much are very high. Yet somehow I feel confident that I will be impressed......

This is the very first production model in the world and the only one that is in the wild.
 

 
It was shipped to Japan to make it in time for next month's Net Audio magazine where the micro iDSD graces the front cover. Along with iFi audio sponsored Quad DSD track by Technoboys Pulcraft Green Fund.
 
We will announce something tomorrow - when the exact numbers have been measured and confirmed - the continuous power output in Turbo mode is slightly higher than before. Which is a little stonking.
 
As we have come this far, for a bit of a delay of 1 week, we thought it was worth getting the very best to you. Had we not done this, we could have kept mum, but as you know, we have a small case of OCD in terms of implementing the very best iFi technology.
 
The global launch date is 22nd July, instead of 15th July.

no complaints about a 1 week slip either, although it does mean HE-560 will be a bit lonely, a bit longer.

Thanks for that - we dont like to delay if we can avoid it, even a small delay of 1 week or so.
 
They should arrive in each country with each distributor ~21st. Then they should ship out to retailers~1-2 days.
 
So if Music Direct ships out 22nd, you guys receive 1-2 days after that on ~24th
 
Everywhere is different but the whole network is trying to aim for this.
