If anyone from this thread hasn't already read it, I heavily recommend giving it a read. I compare the two stock pads and also the Dekoni Autio Fostex TH/Audio Technica AH Elite hybrid pads.

as i said....someone with better wording.... you've explained there why i have chosen the pads with the larger perforation. I own also a Dan Clark Aeon 2 Open. which i like. So i'm more for the sound you've described. Thanks for reassuring i've chosen the correct pads.

Yes, we have the CB17 that is just coming out. It is a very reasonable (and worth much more) 99 USD.

I am very much interested in this cable. But it does not seem to be available anywhere. Are there any other cables that I can try. I tried the Meze cable and it just doesn't do it for me.

Which Meze cable, and what don't you like about it? I'm using the 4.4mm balanced upgrade cable, and I think it works well. I believe if I want something better, I'd need to go custom, which will cost close to twice as much.

The 4.4mm balanced from meze. IMO it is hazier, less resolving and the bass is softer compared to a 4.4mm balanced cable from newfantazia. I had never heard about new fantazia but I find their 50 usd cable better than the meze.

Interesting. I've owned a few of their cheap cables in the past. I thought they sounded terrible. Very grainy with a veil. Definitely not resolving. They did add add bass, but not in a good way. Different strokes.
