iBasso IT00 and AM05 Two very different IEMs with one purpose, to Enjoy the Music!

This is precisely why the IT00 is my top recommendation at the price point. At first, when I say the IT00 is simply the best at its price point, there are many doubters. Now, I am glad to see many happy users of the IT00. It is all about being credible and only recommend stuffs that are truly good. This is why I didn't recommend the hyped Starfield/T4 as they did not meet my standard at all. As mentioned in my previous post earlier, it is all about the fundamentals- reference point, experience and listening preferences. The more seasoned one is, the easier it is to discern what's good sound. Ultimately, I can't say this enough, enjoy the music!
The it00 is the best I have heard at it's price point. We also have to realise that their are no empirical lines between price points and the it00 is 'better sounding' for me than my more expensive IEMs. I've never heard the 'highest' price points. Can any one say which IEMs the it00 beats at the high end and surprised them?

I truly was in awe...I think the key is having a good source, always...people in this hobby don’t really get it....the phone is only as good as what you put in...the precision is beyond my expectations and my words at this point.

I think it’s a stubbornness of convenience thing. I used to carry around my phone, a DAP AND a stacked amp. It was PITA. Now I carry my phone and ES100 (which is the size of a matchbox). WAY more convenient, but I understand that I’m trading sound quality for convenience.

Yeah, those are basically a TWS version of the ES100. ES100 has more power, offers balanced, and EQ. But the idea is the same.

The issue is the people that are hellbent in just running quality earphones DIRECTLY from their run of the mill phones (which usually have mediocre DACs, low power output, and really high output impedance). Then they complain that the earphones sound screechy or tinny or hissing or whatever the case may be.

:face_palm:

Exactly. So much has changed in this last several years. Amazing stuff.

I don’t know them personally but I looked at the specs and I don’t think they’re even in the same universe...I have two pairs of wired IEMS like that here...no contest...I’ve had IEMs in the few hundred dollar range and hated them
...NO BRAINER

I got Final E3000, and I also want to buy this IT00. Is this and upgrade or sidegrade? Should I sell my E3000 (short some bucks lol)

Hi my review of the IBasso IT00 is here: https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/ibasso-it00.24516/reviews#item-review-24090

Good set! Definitely in my top 3 sub $100 single DD IEMs.

Nice one ☝️. The 5* is well deserved - someone was advocating the notion a while back that iems counted as instruments in their own right with their own unique timbre...for me, the IT00s uniqueness is that they have an ethereal quality to them, extremely spacious and unforced. That light diffusion of the sound in the midrange really does it for me, enclosed by the slightly forward lower bass and extended upper treble. My plan is to try some cables and the reversible mods that have been recommended ITT and see if I can enhance their atmospheric qualities even more.

They’re also designed better than most of their single DD brethren in this range. I have a pet peeve about the use of fabric dampers in so many builds, which I’ve found are a guaranteed single point of (eventually terminal) failure. Afaik only Moondrop have actually addressed this from a servicing POV with a proper replacement programme. I’m super impressed that iBasso can tune using just the driver and enclosure to get the sound they want [Dismounts Soapbox].

Anyway, massive kudos to them for delivering a product that lives up to their marketing, bodes well for this IT07 I keep hearing rumours about.
