Ibasso DX80

Had the DX50 and still have the DX90 => I'll probably order it @ you guys (iBasso) as soon as it hits the market :D

Just curious:
- Will it come with both a coaxial and optical cable?
- What about the needed burn-in (for DX90 400hrs was advised) time?
- I guess it will have (just like DX50 & DX90) a replaceable battery?

Thanks in advance :)

An iBasso comment on that FB post: 'The battery is not replaceable like the DX50 or 90. It is a 3600mah internal battery.'

Did this advice come from iBasso or an enthusiast?

Straight from iBasso...it came with the burn-in cable for this reason

Although I thought it already sounded pretty good right out of the box at that time...

To have the DX80 run for a decent length of time and incorporate all of the features we had to go to a larger battery. With the larger battery the best option available for us was an internal battery. Also there are so many external recharging systems available now that use a battery and are inexpensive many options are available to extend play time.

A coaxial cable will be included for digital output.

We recommend at least 100 hours for burn in on the DX80. What will be optimal is up to everyone's own discretion on what they hear.

very interesting, i was in the market for an ak 120ii, but looks like I'll have to wait.  I switched from the DX90 to AK jr because the UI was just unusable to me.  Hope that changes with the DX 80.

I'm guessing those are the 80's not the 60's? If so, this is great!
Looks much more compact than I had imagined. I have the N5 atm and looking at the size comparison in the photo, the size of the DX80 gets a big thumbs up from me.
Just gotta wait for the release date and the finalized price... (probably $350).

Nice pics DOC2008!

I'm also still in doubt between the N5 and DX80...but leaning slightly towards the DX80 atm
Curious how these 2 daps will compare based on their SQ and UI

That is a mock up. There is no external gain switch, it is done on the screen in the menu. I will have a release date in 4 days.
