The first generation Meenova worked well but it does take down the battery faster when used. I used it a lot. I was emailing with Meenova and asking that if they made another one, could it be closer to whatever it was connected to (less leverage if pushed on and just more compact) and use less energy. So the current Meenova uses more energy and is larger! They went totally the wrong way and it makes no sense because who wants a portable device to suck more current not less and why have it larger.
Thanks Jamato8 Very good point! I had forgotten your previous posts about this - Admittedly Im using a different make now.
With the new DX80 having twin slots I dont really see me using it now much except for adding / taking files off my tablet.
Thanks for the reminder/heads up about this make!
Now Im using the following which seems ok...although I haven't tested it properly. Its not exactly sturdy but it was only a few $

My meenova adapter died quite soon after the warrenty. i wrote to them but they were just like 'glad you enjoyed it - its broken - so what!!'
I wrote on the off chance they might be a descent company.
i can't be 100% sure . . . but It seems likely they are twats
Jon Parker I am sorry to hear about your predicament, but you calling them twats did make me laugh hard enough to blow my wine I was drinking out of my nose...
Richsvt I am sorry to hear about your predicament, but imagining you laugh hard enough to blow wine out of your nose made my purchase worthwhile . . . in the long run
I don't mean to be rude to Meenova but if they had said 'Oh we are so sorry your adapter broke - we take pride in our company and our product. Can we send you a new one?' Then i would have had a great deal of respect for them and would reccomended them and their product to my friends & family
They didn't technically do anything wrong but Mehhh . . . I certainly wouldn't trust them to babysit my sister . . . if I had one
Had the DX50 and still have the DX90 => I'll probably order it @ you guys (iBasso) as soon as it hits the market
Just curious:
- Will it come with both a coaxial and optical cable?
- What about the needed burn-in (for DX90 400hrs was advised) time?
- I guess it will have (just like DX50 & DX90) a replaceable battery?
