Listening to Roon now with the Roon app on the DX300 sounds Amazing max bitrate 48.0khz sounds marvelous. That's exactly what I didn't want to hear...! thanks for chiming in (and to the other poster with the proposed workaround).

I am having trouble getting Roon to work on my 300. It lokks like it is working, but there are massive drop-outs, more like periodic brief sounds.... just with 1b cd rips. Qobuz works via UAPP at 24/96 via same wifi, no problem. Any magic settings?

No roon user but wondering if you are willing to accept limited resolution as DX300 is no authenticated roon endpoint?
Wouldn't it be better to hook it up in DAC mode to some real endpoint via USB and use Roons max endpoint resolution?
You couldn't use DX300 nice screen though as an interface unfortunately

I have an Esoteric N05 dac/streamer connected to a Luxman P750u headphone amp, so the DX300, as good as it is, ain;t bringing anything new to that party! I was just checking stuff out - Roon sees the DX300, it looks like it's playing to it, but it either lags really badly, or just doesn't make any sound.... I agree that Roon is not an essential worker with respecty to my DX300, and neither are Qobuz or Tidal for that matter, although my wifi has good range for my front stoop and back yard.... I also have an L&P P6Pro for pure sound mode, so to speak, as it sounds even better than the DX300, but without the bells and whistles, or a lot of control over how/what you play on it.
Must be your wifi,I can go all way the down to the basement no problemI am having trouble getting Roon to work on my 300. Ya, it a portable player I don't sit in the same spot when I'm washing dishes, doing the laundry, chilling in the bed etc, every thing don't have to be at maximum bitrate to enjoy,I don't fiddle I listen.Oh almost forgot if I want to listen to full resolution I can also stream from Jriver with the app, unfortunately Eos don't work on the Ibasso which IMHO is a better app.No roon user but wondering if you are willing to accept limited resolution as DX300 is no authenticated roon endpoint?

Hey folks, anyone have experience pairing the DX300 with ZMF cans, and can speak to how well it can drive them? If it happens to be the Auteur even better!

Got my TPE case from Amazon. Got the clear version. So much better and more practical than the janky leather sleeve.
buttons are more harder to press as well to stop you from accidentally pressing them which means I can disable the feature of not being able to press the buttons when the screen is off.
Photos don’t show it but the blue dx300 really shines with this clear case

Fantastic combo. The DX300 is powerful enough to drive the Noire amazingly well!

Yeah! I have the Verite Closed and the Aeolus, the DX300 provides plenty of juice to drive those with great lowend and dynamics.

This combination really shine, one of the best I’ve ever experienced. And I’ve experienced a lot of TOTL stuff in the past 10 years.

What a bummer, @ddHiFi C-2019 carrying case is no longer in production and can't buy them anywhere, but they fit DX300 like a glove!!! And with that velcro spacer you can create a perfect partition for the DAP. I know, they have 2020 and 2021 versions of the case, really cool too, bigger, with more pockets, and more storage including iems and other accessories, but just for DX300 alone, this is a perfect padded slim case. If anybody still have one, check it out with your DX300.
