In android you can reverse the direction. So that would at least make it consistent. The buttons are wrong in mango. Forward becomes reverse and reverse become forward.

Same here, maybe thats because we use efficient headphones?Talking about battery drainage it feels to me like they could have doubled the digital battery and reduced analogue one.
Now playing around more it's not yet representative but yet on DX Max where I am hardly having the screen on but am just either playing local albums or playlists or streaming playlists, albums I felt like the ratio between drainage was like 1:2 analogue vs digital
When having wifi on i feel like digital drains prety fast. (haven't timed it yet tho)

There is @Paul - iBasso who can be directly adressed in this forum.Where's the best place to report issues to Ibasso?
I'm wondering if i should return it. The audio/video out of sync issues start to really bug me.
And the roon app is not working well on it (delay when starting/skipping tracks, no bit perfect, hardware buttons do actions twice)
I kind of get around the issue by using an app called sbplayer (can set 384khz sample rate) which emulates a squeezebox and use the lms integration of roon.
To much issues for my use case.
But then i start Tidal and am happy again.
Yet I am also wondering if there should be an extra issue-thread like there is for Dx2xx line...

Only used it briefly, but I had the screen go black and unresponsive scrolling through albums while a regular FLAC file was playing in the background. Had to hard reboot. If there are issues in Mango, not Android, what are they?

No just the standard cable. I thought when I got them - This is going to need a 4.4 balanced but didnt realise how much they really need balanced on this DAP.
Now I need to find a decent balanced cable for the Sundara's - any ideas????
I'm in the UK and got my balanced cable for my Sundaras from Oidio Sound. Their customer service is really good as is the cable.
I am listening on my DX300 balanced high gain vol 40-50

Comparing Tidal Dx220 Max vs DX300
Seems DX Max cannot decode fully, getting to 176khz whereas DX300 is decoding to its max 352,8khz
Comparing the 2 the different characters are obvious again like more reference clarity on Max and tube warmness on DX300.
I feel like you have to adopt and enjoy the specific strengths of both maybe also depending on genre and song frequency mix and recording quality.
Like dry fast and accurate bass on Max and warm wet more resonating bass on DX300.
Eguitars being brighter on Max or more warm resonating on DX300.
Female Voices being more lexaxed and lush on DX300 vs precise and with more sparkle on max.
Have switched to High Gain with my Denons on the DX300 with Tidal...

If there are issues in Mango, not Android, what are they?
I mentioned here when I first got my DX300 that in Mango OS the physical buttons are swapped around.
A couple of posters have mentioned this here in the thread but I still don't know if this is a unit specific thing or not.
I have upgraded to the new firmware and was expecting this to have been fixed but alas , for me, the problem remains.
So
1) Is it a problem only with my unit and a few others or are
2) ibasso are not aware of this issue or are
3) ibasso aware and cannot fix it or do not think it needs fixing
If you could clarify Paul I would be grateful.

in mango os when listening to an album my top button goes to the start of the track and the bottom button goes to the next track.
on mango player in android the default is top button goes to next track and the bottom button goes to start of track or previous track.
I know that in android the buttons can be reassigned.

as a software developer I have to chuckle because this is exactly how many end users treat your work products: you solve the most fiendish of problems without so much as a nod of appreciation, but when a button is in the "wrong" place they throw a tantrum that the software is "unusable"I don’t use android and i prefer that the buttons works as indicated and not the other way round.

Sorry if I came across as throwing a tantrum.
I was not and was only answering Paul's question
I truly appreciate the work and skill of those involved in the creation of the DX300. I love it already, it has occupied much of my time for the last week and a half.

As another software developer I need to mention that, most of the time (if the software is not in automotive or a medical science fields) the first delivery will be buggy. Second delivery is for known or new critical and very easy to fix bugs, third one maybe for some finer details. Especially for a new platform. So, keep that in mind.
