Don't want to stress this non musical case fitting topic too much but this is how I helped myself until hopefully we get replacement cases
1. Glasses cleaning tissue folded and positioned at the case bottom.
Sliding the DX300 in to the very end.
Not perfect, but buttons and volume wheel are working and the treasure is not falling out 😉

Comparing Tidal Dx220 Max vs DX300
Seems DX Max cannot decode fully, getting to 176khz whereas DX300 is decoding to its max 352,8khz
Comparing the 2 the different characters are obvious again like more reference clarity on Max and tube warmness on DX300.
I feel like you have to adopt and enjoy the specific strengths of both maybe also depending on genre and song frequency mix and recording quality.
Like dry fast and accurate bass on Max and warm wet more resonating bass on DX300.
Eguitars being brighter on Max or more warm resonating on DX300.
Female Voices being more lexaxed and lush on DX300 vs precise and with more sparkle on max.
Have switched to High Gain with my Denons on the DX300 with Tidal...
DX220 specs states capable of 4x unfolding (44.1 or 48 x4 times give you 176 or 192 accordingly).

loving the DX300 and it is a perfect match for the HifiMan HE1kse. Rocking the 4.4 output and the sound while not quite up to my home rig (not a fair fight $9k dad amp server ve dx300 at $1250)

I'm a fan of D4 filter so far but will experiment as the unit gains more hours, I'm at about 30-40 hours at the moment.

I could see the DX300 being somewhat underpowered for owners of demanding power hungry headphones. My current stable of JHA Lola, HE1kse and Grado HP1000 are totally satisfied with the DX300. I am planning for a somewhat nomadic lifestyle in a few years and this combo on the road would totally satisfy my audio needs.

What’s everyone getting in terms of battery life? I’m only getting around 8 hours on medium gain and around 40-45 volume, mainly Tidal downloaded content with the odd Tidal stream. Digital battery drains first, so measuring by that.

I can also recheck my thinking as I didn't closely measure the time they are best guesses based on overnight burn in and listening time they are probably +/- and hour

I also shut down wifi and bluetooth for overnight burn in and decrease screen brightness

Kinda new to some of the ins-and-outs of Android. I’m trying to figure out what “USB Debugging” is, do I need it, and if not, how can I get rid of this annoying notification!!!
