Anyone who has the AMP12W (DX300) and the DX300 MAX SS/TI care to do a SQ comparison between those two?

I did compare Dx312W and Dx312EX extensively VS Titanium. You would be surprised at how well the Dx312 is as a value, and once modified to W or EX, it elevates further ! What is more ? Modular and ready for upgrades! You will be seeing the differences between modified Dx312 VS Ti to be within 8-10%. How significant it is ? That is up to you, but to me, the smaller and lighter player, with the ability to modular and customize it, I would opt for Dx312, also battery life is excellent !

For all that is said, the differences is real, and it depends on your own situations to call out which is best for you. Another thing is that Dx312 Line Out is Excellent! I never thought as of why Dx312 was able to perform to such level, until I really dig the marketing slides, it offers 128Db Dynamic Range, one and only ! The best of it kind! The highest Dynamic range as a portable player, true line out! Also is with 16 hours batteries

It is a shame really, while people are pumping up in price, Ibasso doesn’t , I haven’t seen any one being dedicated to audio performances and leading the innovations the way Ibasso do. Sony did, and then they disappeared again, but atm Ibasso is crazily good for the values. My comparison is based on Hd800S/820, so the power delivery factors may be one main reason to take up that 8-10%, for anyone with extremely efficient IEMS, the differences may be even narrower.

I look toward Ibasso next modules ! And or variant of Dx300

Hey, thanks.

I guess I missed your comparison, yeah as expected there will be some compromise for sure but for a more portable system, the AMP12W seems damn impressive.

I won't be using Line Out simply because I have no other portable amp but with the 8.8vrms at full load, AMP12W should be more than enough juice to drive my ZMF VC.

Also, is there currently a way to convert DSD512 files specifically on the DX300 to PCM?

May want to try Neutron ? And play DSD not natively ? Only the DAC are not able to handle DSD512, the rest should be upto task as 3Max can handle it. I will check it out later and report back

Thanks!

It would be a great feature to manually nitpick the DSD sample rates you want converted to PCM becuase the DX300 won't decode DSD512.

What about the addition of the Micron SD card to decrease that 8-10% ? 🙂

Just from observing this thread, iBasso is arguably #1.

Researching the market and other threads only makes it easier to say that iBasso is #1.

Value-wise, nobody comes close to iBasso. I'd go as far as saying that that's a fact.

That's just my 2 cents, and I'm not even fan-boying.

Hehehe.. just some hint... there's nothing wrong with overkill.. VC drive by BX2plus with DX312, there's a Slight Hiss, but worth the dynamics & transient... use the ZMF braid cable with Auteur earpads... u got great synergies...

Had the same problem about 4 weeks ago. Originally disabled the app via Google Play, but in the process internet signal was lost. Thereafter I got this warning from Google Play, as if CoolAPK had not been uninstalled. Following this, I force-stopped it while offline, but this didn't solve the problem. Kept getting warnings. Finally, I binned it (by drag and drop) while online, flushed Google Play cache, then restarted Android (again while online) and didn't get the warnings any longer.
Thanks for posting this. Did the trick for my new DX240 👍
